-Պարոն Վասաձե, Հայաստանը հրաժարվեց մասնակցել Վրաստանում ՆԱՏՕ-ի զորավարժություններին։ Վրաց փորձագետները նշում են, որ այս դեպքում Մոսկվան նվաստացնելով Հայաստանին՝ իր հաշիվներն է պարզում ԱՄՆ-ի հետ։ Համամի՞տ եք։
-Ինձ համար դժվար է դատել, թե որն է եղել պատճառը, բայց իմ քաղաքագետ գործընկերների մեծ մասը հենց այդպես է կարծում, որ, այո, դա Մոսկվայի ճնշման արդյունք է։
-Իսկ Հայաստանն ինչպե՞ս կարող էր արձագանքել Ռուսաստանի կողմից ճնշումներին։
-Այստեղ տարբեր տարբերակներ կարող են լինել։ Մենք չգիտենք քաղաքական խոհանոցում ինչ է կատարվում և լավ է, որ չգիտենք։ Ընդհանուր առմամբ, երևի եղել է այնպիսի առաջարկ, որից Հայաստանի ղեկավարությունը չի կարողացել հրաժարվել։
-Վերջին շրջանում Հայաստան-ՆԱՏՕ հարաբերությունները դինամիկ զարգացել են, ինչը, շատերի կարծիքով, քայլ է, որով Հայաստանը փորձում է դիվերսիֆիկացնել իր քաղաքականությունն անվտանգության ու արտաքին քաղաքականության ոլորտներում։ Հայաստանի վերջին քայլից հետո կարելի՞ է հակառակը պնդել։
-Նախօրեին ցուցադրվել է իմ առաջին հաղորդումը՝ «Մեծ խաղ» անվանումով, որի թեման էր՝ արդյոք Հայաստանը կարո՞ղ է դուրս գալ Ռուսաստանի վերահսկողությունից։ Հայ վերլուծաբան Ռուբեն Մեհրաբյանը շատ լավ մեկնաբանեց այդ հարցը՝ նշելով, որ Հայաստանի այսօրվա ղեկավարությունը, ցավոք, ի վիճակի չէ իրականացնել այդ խնդիրը, բայց կյանքը կստիպի անել դա ճիշտ այնպես, ինչպես ժամանակին՝ 1988-90 թվականներին, Հայաստանի քաղաքական էլիտայում արագ էվոլյուցիա տեղի ունեցավ, երբ սկզբում չէին պատկերացնում, թե ինչպես է հնարավոր ԽՍՀՄ-ից դուրս գործել, արդեն 1991 թվականին Հայաստանը չմասնակցեց ԽՍՀՄ-ի պահպանման հարցով հանրաքվեին։ Այսինքն՝ օբյեկտիվ իրականությունը վաղ թե ուշ հանգեցնելու է նրան, որ Հայաստանը համագործակցի ՆԱՏՕ-ի հետ։ Բայց հաշվի առնելով, որ Հայաստանն այս պահին հրաժարվում է մասնակցել տարածաշրջանի անվտանգությանն ուղղված ՆԱՏՕ-ի զորավարժություններին, նշանակում է, որ երևի դեռ այդ խնդիրը բավարար չափով չի հասունացել։
