Երևանի և Սանկտ Պետերբուրգի միջև հաստատված համագործակցության շրջանակում ակտիվ գործակցություն է ծավալված նաև կրթության ոլորտում: Սանկտ Պետերբուրգում անցկացվող Երևանի օրերի շրջանակում համատեղ ծրագրերի ընթացքի հետ կապված հարցեր են քննարկել երկու քաղաքների կրթության ոլորտի պատասխանատուները: Կարևորելով Երևանի և Սանկտ Պետերբուրգի մի շարք դպրոցների միջև հաստատված համագործակցությունը՝ Երևանի քաղաքապետարանի աշխատակազմի հանրակրթության վարչության պետ Աննա Ստեփանյանը նշել է, որ այդ ցանկին ավելացան նաև Երևանի համար 181 հիմնական և Սանկտ Պետերբուրգի համար 489 դպրոցները, որոնք ստորագրված համագործակցության հուշագրի համաձայն կծավալեն սերտ փոխգործակցություն և փորձի փոխանակում: 
Սանկտ Պետերբուրգի կառավարության կրթության կոմիտեի նախագահ Ժաննա Վորոբյովան իր հերթին նկատել է, որ երկու քաղաքների միջև հաստատված արդյունավետ համագործակցության շրջանակում բազմաթիվ ծրագրեր են իրականացվում ուսուցիչների միջև փորձի փոխանակման, աշակերտների միջև առցանց դասաժամերի կազմակերպման, ինչպես նաև դպրոցների գրադարանային ֆոնդի համալրման ուղղությամբ:
Կողմերը պայմանավորվել են շարունակել սերտ փոխգործակցությունը:
Այնուհետ Երևանի պատվիրակության անդամները Սանկտ Պետերբուրգի գործընկերների հետ միասին այցելել են ՌԴ հյուսիսային մայրաքաղաքի մի շարք կրթօջախներ:
