ԵՐԵՎԱՆ, 10 ՍԵՊՏԵՄԲԵՐԻ, ԱՐՄԵՆՊՐԵՍ: Երկարատև հիվանդությունից հետո կյանքի 97-րդ տարում սեպտեմբերի 10-ին կյանքից հեռացել է նյարդաբան, նյարդավիրաբույժ, բժշկական գիտությունների դոկտոր  պրոֆեսոր, Եվրասիական նյարդավիրաբուժության ակադեմիայի ակադեմիկոս, ՀՀ գիտության վաստակավոր գործիչ, Հայաստանում նյարդավիրաբուժության հիմնադիրներից Սուրեն Գեղամի Զոհրաբյանը։

Ինչպես  «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին նրա ընտանիքից՝ Սուրեն Զոհրաբյանի հոգեհանգիստը կկայանա սեպտեմբերի 11-ին, ժամը 18։00-ին Երևանի Կոնդի Սուրբ Հովհաննես եկեղեցում, իսկ հուղարկավորությունը՝ Երևանի Մխիթար Հերացու անվան պետական բժշկական համալսարանից, սեպտեմբերի 12-ի ժամը 14։00-ին։

Սուրեն Զոհրաբյանը ծնվել է 1921թ. ապրիլի 8-ին Արմավիրի մարզի Աղավնատուն գյուղում, ուսուցչի ընտանիքում։ 1942 թվականին ավարտել է Երևանի բժշկական ինստիտուտը, Մոսկվայի բժշկական ակադեմիայի նյարդավիրաբուժական ինստիտուտում, որտեղ էլ պաշտպանել է թեկնածուական և դոկտորական ատենախոսության թեզերը։ 1947-1959 թվականներին վերապատրաստվել է Ռուսաստանի բժշկական ակադեմիայի նյարդավիրաբուժության ինստիտուտում: 1942 թվականից աշխատել է որպես նյարդաբան, նյարդավիրաբույժ։ Մեծ հայրենական պատերազմի ժամանակ զինվորական դաշտային հոսպիտալներում եղել է բաժանմունքի վարիչ։ 1958-1959 թվականներին Երևանի բժշկական ինստիտուտի պրոռեկտոր, 1958 թվականին կազմակերպել Է ԵԲԻ բժիշկների կատարելագործման ֆակուլտետը։ Ղեկավարել է նյարդաախտաբանության և նյարդավիրաբուժության ամբիոնն ու կլինիկան։ 1960 թվականին գործուղվել է Իրաք, այնտեղ կազմակերպել նյարդավիրաբուժական կլինիկա, միաժամանակ դասավանդել Բաղդադի բժշկական ինստիտուտում, կատարել բազմաթիվ վիրահատություններ, այնուհետև աշխատել է ԱՄՆ-ում, ապա գործուղվել է Աֆրիկա, աշխատել Հյուսիսային Զամբիայի համալսարանում։

1960-1991 թվականներին եղել է ՀԽՍՀ առողջապահության նախարարության գլխավոր նյարդավիրաբույժ, 1960 թվականից՝ նյարդավիրաբույժների հայկական ընկերության նախագահ, 1983 թվականից՝ նյարդավիրաբույժների եվրոպական և համաշխարհային ընկերակցությունների, Եվրասիական նյարդավիրաբույժների ակադեմիայի անդամ, 2004 թվականից՝ ՌԴ բժշկատեխնիկական ակադեմիայի անդամ։

Աշխատանքները վերաբերում են երևակայական ցավերի (կաուզալգիա) համախտանիշի, Էպիլեպսիայի տարբեր ձևերի ախտածնության, կլինիկայի և բուժման, գլխուղեղի անոթային հիվանդությունների և գանգագլխուղեղային վնասվածքների, համաճարակաբանության հարցերին։

Նյարդաբանության և նյարդավիրաբուժության արդիական խնդիրներին նվիրված 4 մենագրությունների և 247 գիտական աշխատանքների հեղինակ է։

Զորաբյանի անունով Է կոչվել Երևանի «Շտապ օգնություն» գիտաբժշկական կենտրոնի նրա նախաձեռնությամբ հիմնադրված նյարդավիրաբուժական կլինիկան։

Սուրեն Զոհրաբյանը ՀՀ գիտության վաստակավոր գործիչ է,պարգևատրվել է ԽՍՀՄ առողջապահության գերազանցիկի շքանշանով, «Մխիթար Հերացու» շքանշանով, «Բաղրամյանի» շքանշանով, Երևանի պետական համալսարանի ոսկե մեդալով, ՀՀ առողջապահության ազգային ինստիտուտի ոսկե մեդալով։

«Արմենպրես»-ի ամբողջ անձնակազմը սգում է Սուրեն Զոհրաբյանի կորուստը՝ վշտակցություն հայտնելով նրա հարազատներին և ընկերներին։
