21-րդ դարում, անգամ անկախ պետություն ունենալու պայմաններում, հայության գերակշիռ մասը դեռ շարունակում է դեգերել օտար երկրներում, ինչի արդյունքում էլ ձևավորվել է հայկական Սփյուռքը: Հայաստան-Սփյուռք փոխհարաբերությունների խորացումը բոլոր ժամանակներում էլ բխել է հենց պետության և հայ ժողովրդի շահերից: Սա է պատճառը, որ թե պետական մակարդակով, թե անհատների, արվում է ամեն ինչ, որպեսզի այդ պատմական և նշանակալի կապը Սփյուռքի մեր հայրենակիցների հետ անքատելի մնա: Սակայն վերջին ժամանակներս, այդ կապի պահպանումն ու փոխհարաբերությունների բարելավումը, կարծես թե այլ կերպ՝ միակողմանի էր ընկալվում: Ծանր սոցիալ-տնտեսական իրավիճակը Հայաստանում կարծես թե արադարցում լիներ այն մարդկանց համար, ովքեր Սփյուռք ասելով, պատկերացնում էին միայն օգնության և օժանդակության աղբյուր, սակայն ավելի լայն տեսահորիզոնով մարդիկ հասկանում էին, որ կայուն հարաբերությունների հիմնաքարը պետք է տեղադրվի երկուստեք: 
Սա է պատճառը, որ արդեն մի քանի տարի է ինչ Սփյուռքի հետ հարաբերությունների խորացումն ու փոխհամագործակցությունը հայտնվել է Գագիկ Ծառուկյանի ուշադրություն կենտրոնում, ով դեռ երկու տարի առաջ Լիբանան այցի շրջանակներում, խոստացել էր տեղի հայ համայնքին, որ հնարավորորության կտա որոշ լիբանանահայ ուսանողների ուսում ստանալ հայրենիքում՝ իր անձնական միջոցների հաշվին:
 
Համաձայնեք, որ սա արժանի քայլ էր դեպի առաջ, որը փոշիացնում է նախկինում եղած բոլոր նախապաշարմունքները, որ Սփյուռքը միշտ պետք է օգնի Հայաստանին և հակառակ պրոցեսի մասին խոսք անգամ չէր գնում: Իշնորհիվ Ծառուկյանի, այս տարի արդեն լիբանանահայ ուսանողների երկրորդ հոսքը՝ թվով 18, ժամանել են հայրենիք՝ կրթություն ստանալու նպատակով: Սա յուրահատում մոտեցում է Ծառուկյանի կողմից, քանի որ այս գործողությունը, ոչ միայն կնպաստի արտագաղթի թվի կրճատմանը, դեռ ավելին, կնպաստի հայրենադարձությանը: Հաշվի առնելով, որ նեկա դրությամբ Հայաստանում գրեթե բոլոր ոլորտներում մասնագետների պակաս կա, կարելի է ենթադրել, որ տվյալ ուսանողներից ոմանք, ովքեր կստանան համապատասխան կրթություն, ցանկություն կունենան մնալ և արարել սեփական Հայրենիքում, իսկ դա արդեն լուրջ քայլ է ազգապահպանության տեսանկյունից:
Ծառուկյանի այս քայլը բնականաբար ողջունելի է և ցանկալի կլիներ, որ նրա օրինակը վարակիչ լիներ մյուսների համար և նմանատիպ գործողություններով այլ գործարարներ ևս նպաստեին Սփյուռք-Հայաստան կապերի խորացմանն ու զարգացմանը:
