Կարապետյանը տիրացավ Սարգսյանի դափնիներին

Հայաստան-Սփյուռք համաժողովը, որ առաջին հայացքից բացի հերթական սիմվոլիկ միջոցառումը լինելուց պիտի ծառայեր Սերժ Սարգսյանի հեղինակության բարձրացմանն ու քաղաքական կշռի ամրապնդմանը, ինչպես նաև դառնար Սարգսյանի շուրջ ձևավորվելիք համահայկական խորհրդի և ժողովրդագրական վիճակի մասին խոսելու հիմք, հընթացս վերածվեց Կարեն Կարապետյանի հանդեպ հիացմունքի միջոցառման:
Դրան նպաստեց համաժողովին ակտիվորեն ներգրավված ռուսահայ սփյուռքի ներկայությունը: Ինչպես նաև այն, որ Կարապետյանն ի տարբերություն Սարգսյանի, չսահմանափակվեց միայն պրոտոկոլային ելույթով: Նա մասնակցեց ակտիվ հարց ու պատասխանի, իսկ այնուհետ առանձնազրույց ունեցավ Գարո Փայլանի հետ: Շոուի առումով, իսկ համաժողովը բացառապես շոու էր, Կարապետյանը հաջողեց: Որովհետև ապահովեց առավել հասանելի հանրային մոտեցում և բաց չթողեց առիթը այդ շոուի գլխավոր աստղի ՝ Փայլանի հետ նույն կադրում հայտնվելու:
Միաժամանակ, սփյուռքահայերից շատերը, որոնք Հայաստանի մասին խորը պատկերացումներ չունեն, սկսեցին բավական հիացական արտահայտվել Կարապետյանի մասին: Ի տարբերություն նախօրդ օրը հնչող գնահատականների, երբ Սարգսյանի ելույթից հետո շատ սփյուռքահայեր հուսահատության ու հիասթափության զգացումներով էին արտահայտվում Հայաստանի զարգացման հեռանկարների մասին:
Պետք է փաստել, որ Կարապետյանն իր հանրային ընկալմամբ այս պահին առավել արդյունավետ է օգտագործում շոուները, քան Սարգսյանը: Քաղաքականության անբաժան մասը հանդիսացող դրսևորումներում նա իրեն դրսևորում է առավել անկաշկանդ: Մեդիաէֆեկտի առումով, սա բնականաբար բազմաթիվ դիվիդենտներ է բերում, անկախ նրանից, թե այդ անկաշկանդ ելույթների հետևում կա խորքային բովանդակություն, թե ոչ:
