Օքսֆորդի համալսարանում կայացել է Հայոց ցեղասպանության 100-րդ տարելիցին նվիրված ցուցահանդես

Օքսֆորդի համալսարանի Բոդլիան գրադարանում բացվել է «Հայաստան. հարատևող մշակույթի գանձերը» խորագրով բացառիկ ցուցահանդես` նվիրված Հայոց ցեղասպանության 100-րդ տարելիցին: Ինչպես Արմենպրես-ին փոխանցեցին ՀՀ ԱԳՆ մամուլի, տեղեկատվության եւ հասարակայնության հետ կապերի վարչությունից, միջոցառումը կայացել է բրիտանահայ բարերար Րաֆֆի Մանուկյանի, Մեծ Բրիտանիայում ՀՀ դեսպան Արմեն Սարգսյա նի և Գյուլբենկյան հիմնադրամի նախաձեռնությամբ եւ աջակցությամբ:
Բացման արարողությանը ելույթներով հանդես են եկել ՀՀ դեսպան Արմեն Սարգսյանը, Բոդլիանի գլխավոր գրադարանավար Ռիչարդ Օվերդինը և Օքսֆորդի համալսարանի Հայագիտության ամբիոնի տնօրեն, հայտնի հայագետ պրոֆեսոր Թեո վան Լինտը։ Պաշտոնական արարողությունից հետո հայտնի ջութակահար Լևոն Չիլինգիրյանը կատարել է Նարեկացու, Սայաթ Նովայի և Կոմիտասի գործերը: Ցուցադրության համակարգողներն են` պրոֆեսոր Թեո վան Լինտը և Բոդլիանի գրադարանավար Ռոբին Մեյերը: Հարգանքի տուրք մատուցելով Հայոց ցեղասպանության զոհերի հիշատակին՝ ցուցահանդեսի կազմակերպիչների նպատա կն է այցելուներին ցույց տալ հայ ժողովրդի բազմադարյա մշակութային ձեռքբերումները՝ հարուստ կրոնական և գրական կոթողներից մինչև աշխարհասփյուռ հայկական համայնքների թողած ժառանգությունը։
Ցուցանմուշներ են հավաքվել Մանչեսթերի և Լոնդոնի համայնքներից, որոնք անհատական պատմությունների հիման վրա նկարագրելու են ցեղասպանության արհավիրքը վերապրած ու Մեծ Բրիտանիայում հաստատված հայերի կենցաղը, մշակութային և կրոնական կյանքը: Ցուցահանդեսը կտևի մինչև 2016թ. փետրվարը։ Ցուցահանդեսին զուգահեռ կազմակերպվելու են դասախոսություններ, քննարկումներ և համերգներ: 2015թ. նաև հիշարժան տարի է Օքսֆորդի համալսարանի համար, քանի որ նշվում է ազգային մեծ բարերար Գալուստ Գյուլբենկյանի նվիրատվությամբ բացված Հայագիտական կենտրոնի 50-ամյակը:
