Լոս Անջելեսում մեծ հանդիսությամբ նշվել է ՀՀ անկախության 26-ամյակը

Լոս Անջելեսում ՀՀ գլխավոր հյուպատոսության նախաձեռնությամբ սեպտեմբերի 21-ին մեծ հանդիսությամբ նշվեց ՀՀ անկախության 26-ամյակը: Տոնակատարությանը մասնակցում էին Լոս Անջելեսի հայ համայնքի ներկայացուցիչներ, հասարակական, քաղաքական և կրոնական կառույցների անդամներ, օտարերկրյա դիվանագետներ, ինչպես նաև դաշնային, նահանգային և քաղաքային իշխանության ներկայացուցիչներ: Այս մասին «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ արտաքին գործերի նախարարության մամուլի, տեղեկատվության և հասարակայնության հետ կապի վարչությունից:
Հյուպատոս Արմելլա Շաքարյանը բացման խոսքում երախտագիտություն հայտնեց ԱՄՆ և Կալիֆորնիա նահանգի ղեկավար մարմինների ներկայացուցիչներին՝ ՀՀ անկախացման առաջին իսկ օրվանից երկրում իրականացվող տնտեսական և ժողովրդավարական բարեփախումներին աջակցելու համար: Նա նաև ընդգծեց Սփյուռքի նշանակալի դերը հայ-ամերիկյան օրակարգի ձևավորման և հայոց պետականությունն ամրապնդման, Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչման և դատապարտման գործում:
Հայաստանի անկախության տոնի առիթով շնորհավորական ելույթներով հանդես եկան Կալիֆորնիայի նահանգային սենատի անդամներ Էնթոնի Փորթանթինոն և Էդ Հերնանդեսը, ներկայացուցիչների պալատի անդամներ Լորա Ֆրիդմանը և Ռաուլ Բոքանիգրան, Լոս Անջելեսի քաղաքային խորհրդի անդամներ Փոլ Կրեկորյանը և Միթչ Օ՛Ֆերելը: Նրանք նաև հուշագրեր հանձնեցին գլխավոր հյուպատոս Սերգեյ Սարկիսովին:
ՀՀ անկախության տոնի առիթով գլխավոր հյուպատոսությունը պատվոգրեր հանձնեց բժիշկ Ակիրա Իշիյամային, ով տարիներ շարունակ բարեգործական ծրագրեր է իրականացնում Հայաստանում, և Կալիֆոնիայի նահանգային սենատի նախագահ Քևին Դե Լեոնի օգնական Պայծառ Թովմասյանին՝ արդյունավետ աշխատանքի համար: Տոնական երեկոն վարում էր ամերիկյան “KTLA” հեռուստատեսության հայազգի հեռուստամեկնաբան Էլինա Աբովյանը:
