Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանն այսօր ընդունել է Միացյալ Թագավորության արտաքին գործերի և համագործակցության նախարարության Եվրոպայի և Ամերիկաների հարցերով պետնախարար Ալեն Դանքնին: 

Ողջունելով հյուրին մեր երկրում՝ Հանրապետության Նախագահն ընդգծել է, որ Հայաստանը շահագրգռված է Միացյալ Թագավորության հետ միջպետական հարաբերությունները խորացնելու հարցում: Սերժ Սարգսյանը նշել է, որ դիվանագիտական հարաբերությունների հաստատումից ի վեր անցած 25 տարիներին երկու երկրների միջև առկա համագործակցության ներուժը դեռևս լիարժեք չի օգտագործվել: Ուրախությամբ արձանագրելով վերջին շրջանում հաճախակի դարձած փոխայցելություններն ու Հայաստանում Միացյալ Թագավորության դեսպանության աշխատանքը՝ Նախագահը հույս է հայտնել, որ այդ դինամիկան կպահպանվի, և հայ-բրիտանական միջպետական հարաբերությունները որակական նոր մակարդակի կբարձրանան:

Պետնախարար Ալեն Դանքնը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել ջերմ ընդունելության համար և Հանրապետության Նախագահին փոխանցելով Մեծ Բրիտանիայի և Հյուսիսային Իռլանդիայի Միացյալ Թագավորության վարչապետ Թերեզա Մեյի ողջույններն ու բարեմաղթանքները՝ վստահեցրել, որ Միացյալ Թագավորությունը ևս մեծ ցանկություն ունի զարգացնելու և ամրապնդելու Հայաստանի հետ հարաբերությունները: Ալեն Դանքնն ընդգծել է, որ իր երկիրը պատրաստակամ է օժանդակություն տրամադրելու Հայաստանի կառավարությանը՝ երկրի տնտեսության առաջնահերթություններից ելնելով այն օգտագործելու համար: Պետնախարար Դանքնը հույս է հայտնել, որ երկկողմ ջանքերով փոխգործակցությունը զարգացնելու արդյունքում կմեծանան առևտրաշրջանառության ծավալները Հայաստանի և Միացյալ Թագավորության միջև: Նախարար Դանքնն ընդգծել է, որ Միացյալ Թագավորությունը բարձր է գնահատում Հայաստանում իրականացված սահմանադրական բարեփոխումները, որոնց մասին առիթ է ունեցել խոսել նաև Հայաստանի խորհրդարանում:

Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը վստահեցրել է, որ Հայաստանը հաստատակամորեն շարունակելու է տարբեր ոլորտներում բարեփոխումները՝ ի շահ Հայաստանի պետականության ամրապնդման և զարգացման:

Հանդիպմանը զրուցակիցներն անդրադարձել են ԼՂ հիմնախնդրի կարգավորման գործընթացին, մտքեր փոխանակել տարածաշրջանային խնդիրների և մարտահրավերների շուրջ:
