 Շիրակի համալսարանում անցկացվելու են ստուգումներ: Այս մասին սեպտեմբերի 27-ին Գյումրի կատարած այցի ժամանակ նշեց ՀՀ Կրթության և գիտության նախարար Լևոն Մկրտչյանը: Այցը կապված էր սեպտեմբերի 26-ին բուհի պատմության բաժնի ուսանողների կողմից կազմակերպված դասադուլի և նույն բուհի դասախոսների՝ ՀՀ Նախագահին ու վարչապետին ուղղված բաց նամակի հետ: 
Մինչ ռեկտորի հետ հանդիպումը Լևոն Մկրտչյանը լսեց բաց նամակի հեղինակներին՝ Գագիկ Համբարյանին ու Հովհաննես Խորիկյանին, ովքեր ներկայացրեցին այն, ինչ կատարվել է բուհում: Ուսանողներն էլ իրենց հերթին նախարարին են ներկայացրել վարձավճարների զեղչերի կարգի փոփոխման, ուսումնական պլանի ոչ լիարժեք կատարման և բուհում ինտեգրված ուսուցում ներդնելու հետ կապված իրենց բողոքները: 
«Քանի որ հարցադրումները շատ են ու բազմաբնույթ, այստեղ կարիք ունենք համալիր հետազոտության: Մենք ռեկտորի հետ էլ պայմանավորվեցինք: Հարցադրումներն հիմնակնում երեք հարթության էին, այդ թվում նաև կրթական ծրագրերի բովանդակության: Ինձ համար շատ օգտակար էր ուսանողների հետ հանդիպումը, պարզեցի, որ ուսանողները կուրսը կրկնում են՝ երկրորդ տարին նույն առարկան, և այստեղ հարց կա՝ ամբիոնն ինչպե՞ս է ձևավորում: Սա կլինի ոչ միայն ստուգում, այլ օգնություն՝ հաշվի առնելով այն, որ բուհը մի կարգավիճակից՝ ինստիտուտից անցել է մյուսի՝ համալսարանի: Երկրորդ հարթությունը կազմակերպչական հարցերն էին, որտեղ համալիր ստուգում կանցկացնենք: Ստուգումներ կլինեն նաև գրադարանում, երկու տարբեր տեսակետներ կան նաև գրադարանի հետ կապված»,-նշեց Լևոն Մկրտչյանը այս պարագայում չժխտելով նաև միջանձնային խնդիրը:
