Հնագետները նախատեսում են մինչև 2015 թվականի վերջը ստուգել բրիտանացի գիտնական Նիկոլաս Ռիվզի սենսացիոն թեզն առ այն, որ Թութանհամոնի մայրն ու կինը գտնվում են նրա դամբարանում՝ կեղծ պատի ետնամասում: «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ' այդ մասին հայտարարել է Եգիպտոսի պատմամշակութային հուշարձանների և մշակութային ժառանգությ ան նախարարը' «ՌԻԱ Նովոստի» գործակալությանը տրված հարցազրույցում: «Փաստ չէ, որ այնտեղ է գտնվում Նեֆերտիտին:
Մինչ այսօր հայտնաբերված չեն Թութանհամոնի ընտանիքի ոչ մի կնոջ գերեզման: Ոչ նրա մոր, ոչ կնոջ, ոչ էլ քրոջ դամբարանները չեն գտնվել Թագավորների հովտում: Այդ իսկ պատճառով' ենթադրություններ կան, որ իրենց մարմինները գտվում են Թութանհամոնի դամբարանում»,- ասաց Ադ-Դամաթին: Մոտակա շաբաթների ընթացքում մասնագետները ջերմադիտակի և ռադառի միջոցով սկսելու են ուսումնասիրությունը՝ համոզվելու դամբարանի պատերից մեկի հետևում մեկ այլ դամբարանի առկայության վերաբերյալ:
