Ժնևում հոկտեմբերի 7-ին Միավորված ազգերի կազմակերպության գրասենյակի բաց դռների օրվա շրջանակներում Ազգերի պալատի գլխավոր հանդիսասրահում Հայաստանը ներկայացել է ազգային դասական երաժշտության և պարային կատարումների հարուստ ծրագրով։ Ավանդաբար, ՄԱԿ Ժնևյան գրասենյակի ամենամյա բաց դռների օրվա ընթացքում, Ազգերի պալատը հյուրընկալում է ավելի քանի 30 հազար այցելուներ։

Ինչպես «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ արտաքին գործերի նախարարության մամուլի, տեղեկատվության եւ հասարակայնության հետ կապի վարչությունից, համերգին բացման խոսքով հանդես է եկել Շվեյցարիայում ՀՀ դեսպանորդ Հասմիկ Տոլմաջյանը՝ նշելով, որ Հայաստանն ուրախ է մասնակցելու տարբեր ազգերի և մշակույթների հանդիպումն ու երկխոսությունը խորհրդանշող այս կարևոր, ավանդական դարձած միջոցառմանն՝ իր ազգային երաժշտական և պարային արվեստով։ Այս կապակցությամբ նա հիշատակել է Կոմիտասի խոսքերը, որ «երաժշտությունը ժողովրդի ինքնարտահայտման ամենաինքնատիպ, ամենաթափանցիկ և ամենակենդանի հայելին է»։

Համերգի առաջին հատվածում, հայ և ֆրանսիացի երաժիշտներից կազմված Նաիրի լարային կվինտետի կատարմամբ հնչել են Արամ Խաչատրյանի, Սպենդիարյանի, Կոմիտասի և մի շարք այլ հայ կոմպոզիտորների գործերը։

Միջոցառման երկրորդ հատվածում, Շվեյցարահայ միության «Սանահին» պարային համույթի երիտասարդ կատարողները ներկայացրել են հայ ազգային պարարվեստի նմուշներ։

Համերգի կազմակերպմանն իր աջակցությունն է բերել Հայ Բարեգործական Ընդհանուր Միության շվեյցարական մասնաճյուղը։
