ՀՀ Ազգային ժողովի արտաքին հարաբերությունների մշտական հանձնաժողովի նախագահ Արմեն Աշոտյանը հոկտեմբերի 11-ին ընդունել է Ֆինլանդիայի ԱԳՆ Ռուսաստանի, Արեւելյան Եվրոպայի եւ Կենտրոնական Ասիայի վարչության պետ Մայմո Հենրիկսոնին, Արեւելյան Եվրոպայի եւ Կենտրոնական Ասիայի բաժնի ղեկավար Պայիվի Պելտոկոսկիին եւ Հարավային Կովկասի հարցերով պատասխանատու Թիինա Պարվիայնենին:
Ինչպես «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ ԱԺ հանրային կապերի վարչությունից, ողջունելով հյուրերին ՀՀ Ազգային ժողովում՝ Արմեն Աշոտյանը կարեւորել է Հայաստանի եւ Ֆինլանդիայի խորհրդարանների միջեւ համագործակցության խթանմանն ուղղված աշխատանքները, մասնավորապես միջհանձնաժողովային համագործակցության ակտիվացումը: Այս համատեքստում հանձնաժողովի նախագահ Արմեն Աշոտյանն անդրադարձել է խորհրդարանական դիվանագիտության գործիքակազմին, ընդգծել միջխորհրդարանական բարեկամության խմբերի դերը եւ նշել, որ այս ձեւաչափում արդյունավետ աշխատանքների իրականացումը հանդիսանում է առանցքային խնդիր: Արմեն Աշոտյանը ներկայացրել է նաեւ խորհրդարանական դիվանագիտության միջհանձնաժողովային ձեւաչափը, մասնավորապես ՀՀ ԱԺ պատվիրակությունների ներգրավվածությունը միջխորհրդարանական համաժողովների աշխատանքներին:
Հանդիպման ընթացքում կողմերն անդրադարձել են նաեւ ՀՀ արտաքին քաղաքական օրակարգին, մասնավորապես ՀՀ-ԵՄ հարաբերություններին: Այս համատեքստում կարեւորվել է Արեւելյան գործընկերության ձեւաչափի՝ որպես գլոբալ տնտեսական կապերի զարգացման հարթակի դերը, ինչպես նաեւ նոյեմբերին՝ Արեւելյան գործընկերության գալիք գագաթաժողովում ՀՀ-ԵՄ նոր Համապարփակ համաձայնագրի ստորագրումը եւ դրանից հետո ազգային խորհրդարաններում համաձայնագրի վավերացման գործընթացը:
Անդրադառնալով Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտությանը՝ կողմերը կարեւորել են ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի՝ որպես հակամարտության կարգավորման միակ միջնորդական առաքելության դերը: Հակամարտության կարգավորման գործընթացի վերաբերյալ Արմեն Աշոտյանը նաեւ նշել է, որ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի խնդիրն աշխարհաքաղաքական չէ:
Հանդիպման ընթացքում կողմերը քննարկել են նաեւ Հայաստանի սոցիալ-տնտեսական զարգացման խնդիրները, հումանիտար ոլորտում առկա ձեռքբերումներն ու համագործակցության հնարավորությունները:
Հանդիպման ավարտին կողմերը կարեւորել են փոխադարձ այցերի ակտիվացումը, այս համատեքստում հետագա համագործակցությանը վերաբերող հարցերի քննարկումն ու հնարավորությունների արդյունավետ կիրառումը:
