Գվատեմալայի նոր նախագահ է դարձել կատակերգու դերասան Ջիմի Մորալեսը

Ջիմի Մորալեսը՝ աջ Ազգային միասնության ճակատի թեկնածուն, վստահորեն հաղթանակ է տարել հոկտեմբերի 25-ին Գվատեմալայում անցկացված նախագահական ընտրությունների երկրորդ փուլում: 94 տոկոս ընտրական տեղամասերից ստացված տվյալների ամփոփման արդյունքում նա հավաքել է ձայների 68,98 տոկոսը, տեղեկացնում է «Արմենպրես»-ը՝ հղում անելո վ երկրի Բարձրագույն ընտրական տրիբունալին:
Մորալեսի մրցակցուհին՝ Սանդրա Թորեսը, որը ներկայացնում է ձախ կենտրոնամետ Հույսի ազգային միությունը, ստացել է ընտրողների ձայների 31,02 տոկոսը: Նա արդեն ընդունել է իր պարտությունը եւ շնորհակալություն հայտնել բոլոր նրանց, ովքեր աջակցել են իրեն: 46-ամյա քաղաքական գործչի գերակշռությունը կազմել է ավելի քան 1,4 մլն ձայն:
Ընտություններին մասնակցությունը կազմել է 48 տոկոս:
Մորալեսը, որը լայն ճանաչում է ստացել որպես կատակերգու դերասան, քաղաքականություն է եկել միայն 2011 թվականին: Նախընտրական արշավի ընթացքում նա խոստացել է Գվատեմալայում անխնա պայքարել կոռուպցիայի դեմ:
Նոր նախագահի պաշտոնակալման արարողությունը կկայանա 2016 թվականի հունվարի 14-ին, հաղորդել է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
