ՀՀ ԱԺ նախագահ Արա Բաբլոյանը Սանկտ Պետերբուրգ կատարած այցի շրջանակում հոկտեմբերի 14-ին հանդիպել է Իրանի Իսլամական Հանրապետության Մեջլիսինախագահ Ալի Լարիջանիի հետ, տեղեկացնում է ԱԺ մամուլի ծառայությունը:
Հանդիպման ընթացքում կողմերը նշել են, որ հայ-իրանական հարաբերությունները գտնվում են բարձր մակարդակի վրա և շարունակում են զարգանալ փոխվստահության մթնոլորտում, ինչին նպաստում է նաև խորհրդարանական համագործակցությունը:
Զրուցակիցներն ընդգծել են, որ Հայաստանն Իրանի համար կայուն գործընկեր է: Երկու երկրների խորհրդարանների ղեկավարները կարևորել են, որ պատգամավորական բարեկամական խմբերն ակտիվ աշխատում են. առաջիկայում կլինեն փոխայցեր:
Անդրադարձ է կատարվել տարածաշրջանային անվտանգության հիմնահարցերին: Իրանի Մեջլիսի նախագահը նշել է, որ Հայաստանը կարևոր դեր ունի տարածաշրջանային անվտանգության ապահովման հարցում:
Կողմերն անդրադարձել են քաղաքական և տնտեսական հարաբերությունների զարգացմանն առնչվող հարցերի:
Խորհրդարանների ղեկավարները փոխադարձաբար միմյանց հրավիրել են այցելել իրենց երկիր:
