Քրդերն Իրաքում կորցրեցին այն ամենն, ինչը ձեռք էին բերել Սադամ Հուսեյնի տապալումից հետո

Բրիտանական հեղինակավոր The Independent պարբերականի՝ Մերձավոր Արևելքի գծով թղթակից Պատրիկ Քոկբորնն անդրադարձել է իրաքյան Քիրքուքում քրդական «փեշմերգա» ուժերի զանգվածային նահանջին՝ նշելով, որ քրդական երկու խոշոր քաղաքական ուժերը պայմանավորվել էին նահանջի մասին դեռևս մինչ իրաքյան բանակի գրոհը:
«Քրդերը նահանջեցին այն տարածքներից, որոնք երկար ժամանակ խնդրի առարկա էին Էրբիլի և Բաղդադի միջև. այս նահանջի արդյունքում նրանք կարող են կորցնել Իրաքում գրավված տարածքների շուրջ 40 տոկոսը»,- կարծում է լրագրողը:
Պարզվում է, որ իրաքյան բանակի գրոհից առաջ Քրդստանի երկու հիմնական քաղաքական ուժերը՝ Քրդստանի դեմոկրատական կուսակցությունն ու «Քրդստանի հայրենասերիների միություն» կուսակցությունը եկել են այն եզրահանգման, որ այլ ելք չունեն, քան նահանջելը և կայացրել են միասնական որոշում:
«Քրդական ուժերը գիտեին, որ շատ թույլ են իրաքյան բանակի դեմ դիմակայելու համար և գիտեին, որ մեկը չունեին, ումից կարող էին օգնություն խնդրել: Այժմ քուրդ առաջնորդներն այս ֆիասկոյի համար միմյանց են մեղադրում», - շարունակում է թղթակիցը:
Այլևս պարզ է, որ քրդերն Իրաքում կորցրեցին այն ամենն, ինչը ձեռք էին բերել Սադամ Հուսեյնի տապալումից հետո:
Ըստ նրա՝ «փեշմերգա»-ի նման տխրահռչակ նահանջը քրդերի պատմության ամենամեծ աղետներից մեկն է:
Քոկբորնը նաև նկատում է, որ շատերը կարող են մեղադրել Իրանին՝ քրդերի հարցում Բաղդադին մանիպուլիացիայի ենթարկելու համար: Մինչդեռ ակնհայտ է, որ թեև Իրանն իսկապես կարող է ուրախ լինել այս տարածքներում Բաղդադի իշխանության հզորացմամբ ու քրդական ուժերի թուլացմամբ, սակայն «Անհերքելի է, որ Բարզանին մարտահրավեր էր նետել՝ մարտը հաղթելու հնարավորություն չունենալով»:
