Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Բ ծայրագույն պատրիարք և Ամենայն Հայոց կաթողիկոսի օրհնությամբ, Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածնի լուսարարապետ Գերաշնորհ Տ. Հովնան եպիսկոպոս Հակոբյանը հոկտեմբերի 24-ին Շվեդիայի Սոդերթելիե քաղաքում հանդիսապետել է Ս. Մարիամ Աստվածածին եկեղեցու օծման արարողությունը: Եկեղեցու վերակառուցումը, որն իրականացվել է համայնքի հավատացյալների հանգան ակությամբ և բարերար հայորդիների նվիրատվությամբ, սկսվել էր 2014 թվականից:

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին Մայր Աթոռի տեղեկատվական համակարգից, արարողությանը մասնակցել են Կենտրոնական Եվրոպայի Հայրապետական պատվիրակ Հոգեշնորհ Տ. Տիրան վարդապետ Պետրոսյանը, Սկանդինավիահայոց հոգևոր հովիվ Հոգեշնորհ Տ. Եղիշե վարդապետ Ավետիսյանը, Սոդերթելիեի հայ համայնքի հոգևոր հովիվ Արժանապատիվ Տ. Նորայր քահանա Գանջումյանը և Դանիայի ու Նորվեգիայի հոգևոր հովիվ Արժանապատիվ Տ. Ստեփանոս քահանա Հովհաննիսյանը: 

Եկեղեցու մուտքի մոտ աղ ու հացի ավանդական արարողությունից հետո, «Հրաշափառ» շարականի երգեցողության ներքո, լուսարարապետ Սրբազանը, օրհնելով հավատացյալներին, եկեղեցական թափորով մուտք է գործել եկեղեցի, ուր սկսվել է եկեղեցու օծման կարգը: 

Շարականների և սաղմոսների երգեցողությունից, աղոթքների ընթերցումից հետո խորան է բարձրացվել Սրբալույս Մյուռոնը, որով Հովնան եպիսկոպոսը կատարել է եկեղեցու Ս. Սեղանի և եկեղեցու սյուների օծումը: Այնուհետև վերակառուցված եկեղեցին կոչվել է Ս. Մարիամ Աստվածածին անունով:

Արարողության ավարտին Տ. Հովնան եպիսկոպոս Հակոբյանը և Տ. Տիրան վարդապետ Պետրոսյանը Սոդերթելիեի վերանորոգված եկեղեցու օծման առիթով շնորհավորել են հավատավոր ուխտավոր հայորդիներին:

Արարողությանը ներկա են եղել նաև Հայաստանի Հանրապետության Սփյուռքի նախարար Հրանուշ Հակոբյանը, Շվեդիայում ՀՀ արտակարգ և լիազոր դեսպան Արտակ Ապիտոնյանը, Շվեդիայի Թագավորության ռիկստագի (խորհրդարանի) փոխխոսնակ Իզաբել Դինգիզյանը, Քույր եկեղեցիների ներկայացուցիչներ, պետական բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնյաներ, համայնքի անդամներ և ուխտավորներ:
