Հայաստանը Ռուսաստանի հետ գազի գնի հետ կապված երկարաժամկետ պայմանավորվածություններ երբեք չի ունեցել, որովհետև Ռուսաստանը որևէ մեկի հետ դրա վերաբերյալ  երկարաժամկետ պայմանագրեր չի կնքում: Ազգային ժողովում կառավարության հետ հարցուպատասխանի ժամանակ այս մասին ասաց ՀՀ փոխվարչապետ Վաչե Գաբրիելյանը՝ պատասխանելով «Ելք» խմբակցության պատգամավոր Էդմոն Մարուքյանի այն հարցին, թե ինչո՞ւ է ՌԴ վարչապետը հայտարարում, որ Հայաստանին մատակարարվող գազի գինը չի թանկանա, երբ նախկինում հայտարարվում էր, որ ԵԱՏՄ-ին անդամակցելու և կառավարությանը պատկանող «Հայռուսգազարդ»-ի բաժնետոմսերի 20 տոկոսը «Գազպրոմ»-ին վաճառելու դեպքում գազի գինը Հայաստանի համար չի թանկանա:

«Հիմա մենք Ռուսաստանից գազ ենք գնում 150 դոլարով. դա տարածաշրջանում ամենալավ գինն է, որը սահմանված է և սահմանվում է որոշակի ժամկետի համար:  Մենք երբևէ տասնամյակով գազի գին չենք պայմանավորվել, որովհետև Ռուսաստանը երկարաժամկետ պայմանագրեր չի կնքում: Մեզ հետ ևս պայմանագիրը մինչև 2018թ. էր նախաստեսված, հիմա երկարում է ևս մեկ տարով»,- «Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ՝ նշեց փոխվարչապետը:

Նա հավելեց, որ ՌԴ վարչապետի հայտարարությամբ ֆիքսվում է, որ գազի գնի բարձրացում տեղի չի ունեցել, և այդ գինը նաև եկող տարի կգործի: «Իսկ գազի գինը բարձրացնելու վերաբերյալ որևէ պայմանագիր կամ որևէ համաձայնություն չկա, կա ընդամենը ժամկետ, որը երկարացվում է»,- եզրափակեց փոխվարչապետը:
