Մեղրիի մաքսակետում՝ Իրան-Հայաստանի սահմանին այսօր մաքսավորների կողմից հայտնաբերված շուրջ 105 կիլոգրամ հերոինը շարունակությունն էր 2014 թվականին հայտնաբերված շուրջ մեկ տոննայի: Այն տարանցման նպատակով է, սակայն կարելի է ենթադրել, որ դրա մի չնչին մասը մնում է Հայաստանում:
Այս մասին Tert.am-ի հետ զրույցում հայտարարեց Ազգային անվտանգության նախկին փոխնախարար Գուրգեն Եղիազարյանի շարունակելով. «Հայաստանը նման քանակության համար, ինչն ահավոր թիվ է, չի կարող լինել իրացման շուկա: Հայաստանը կարող է ընդամենը հանդիսանալ տարանցիկ ճանապարհ դեպի Ռուսաստան, ուրիշ՝ դեպի Հյուսիս երկիր չեմ իմանում, որն ի վիճակի է նման քանակությամբ հերոին կուլ տալ: Ես հիշում եմ, որ 20 տարի առաջ 10 կիլոգրամ հերոինը 3 ամիս շարունակ չէին կարողանում իրացնել: Ինչո՞ւ, որովհետև օգտագործողը չկար»:
Հիշեցնենք, որ այսօր այս քանակությամբ հերոինը ռենտգեն զննությամբ հայտարաբերվել Իրանից Հայաստան ժամանած Թուրքիայի քաղաքացի Ֆերդի Օզդեմիրիի վարած, Վրաստանում գրանցված «Օմերտրանսպորտ» ՍՊԸ-ին պատկանող «DAF» մակնիշի սառնարանային բեռնատարում, իսկ 2014-ին էլ Մեղրիի մաքսատանը Իրանից Հայաստանի տարածքով տարանցիկ դեպի Վրաստան ուղևորվող բեռնատարի զննման արդյունքում հատուկ հարմարեցված թաքստոցում հայտնաբերվել էր առանձնապես խոշոր չափերի` 927 կգ հերոին տեսակի թմրամիջոց: ՀՀ Ազգային անվտանգության ծառայության քննչական վարչությունում հարուցված քրեական գործի շրջանակներում թմրամիջոցների մաքսանենգություն հոդվածով դատապարտվեցին բեռնատարի վարորդ, Վրաստանի քաղաքացի Ավթանդիլ Մարտիաշվիլին Թուրքիայի քաղաքացի Օսման Ուգուրլուն:
Ըստ Գուրգեն Եղիազարյանի՝ միայն այսօր հայտնաբերված թմրանյութը երրրորդ ձեռքում կվերածվեր 100 միլիոն դոլարի:
