 Հայաստանի արտաքին գործերի նախարարի տեղակալ Շավարշ Քոչարյանը ներկայացրեց 2018թ. Հայաստանի արտաքին քաղաքականության առաջնահերթությունները: Ազգային ժողովում ՀՀ 2018թ. պետական բյուջեի նախագծի քննարկման ընթացքում ՀՀ ԱԳ փոխնախարարն ընդգծեց, որ արտաքին քաղաքական ուղեգծի իրականացումը 2018թ. ուղղված է լինելու ղարաբաղյան խնդրի խաղաղ կարգավորմանը միջազգային իրավունքի հիմնարար սկզբունքների և նորմերի, մասնավորապես՝ ինքնորոշման իրավունքի հիման վրա: «Մեր քաղաքականությունն ուղղված է լինելու արտաքին անվտանգության ռազմաքաղաքական բաղադրիչի ամրապնդմանը, Հայոց ցեղասպանության միջազգային ճանաչմանը, դատապարտմանը և ցեղասպանության հանցագործության կանխարգելմանը»,-«Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ՝ ընդգծեց Քոչարյանը:

Նա հավելեց, որ 2018թ. Հայաստանը շարունակելու է երկկողմ համագործակցությունը տարբեր գործընկեր երկրների հետ: «Բազմակողմ հարաբերություններում մենք շարունակելու ենք մեր աշխատանքները բոլոր ուղղություններով: Դա և Եվրասիական տնտեսական միության, ՀԱՊԿ, ԱՊՀ, շրջանականերում համագործակցության շարունակական ամրապնդումն է, Եվրոպական Միության հետ համապարփակ գործընկերության ընդլայնումը, ՄԱԿ-ում, Եվրոպայի խորհրդում, ԵԱՀԿ-ում ակտիվ ներգրավվածությունն է»,- մանրամասնեց ՀՀ ԱԳ փոխնախարարը:

Նա հիշեցրեց, որ 2018թ. Հայաստանում անցկացվելու է Ֆրանկոֆոնիայի համաժողովը, ինչի ուղղությամբ աշխատանքները շարունակվում են: Շարունակվելու է երկխոսությունը ՆԱՏՕ-ի հետ, լուրջ ուշադրություն է դարձվելու արտաքին քաղաքականության տնտեսական բաղադրիչին: Քոչարյանը նաև շեշտեց, որ ՀՀ ԱԳՆ-ն պետք է հնարավորինս օժանդակի խորհրդարանական դիվանագիտությանը:
