Սաուդյան Արաբիայի ներիշխանական պայքարի դաշտում հետաքրքիր զարգացումներ են նկատվում: Ամենայն հավանականությամբ, արքայական մեծ ընտանիքը դեռ չի հաշտվել թագավոր Սալման բեն Աբդել Ազիզ ալ–Սաուդի նոր գծի և իշխանությունն իր թագաժառանգ որդուն՝ Մուհամմադ իբն Սալման ալ–Սաուդիին փոխանցելու պլանների հետ, եթե վերջինս իրեն հակառակվող ազդեցիկ մարդկանց մեկուսացնելու կոշտ որոշում է ընդունել:

Համենայն դեպս, շատերն են այդպես մեկնաբանում նոր թագաժառանգի գլխավորած Հակակոռուպցիոն կոմիտեի վերջին քայլը, որով, կոռուպցիայի մեղադրանքով, ձերբակալվել են շուրջ 11 արքայազներ, նրանց թվում՝ միլիարդատեր, Twitter և Apple ընկերությունների ներդրող արքայազն Վալիդ Բեն Թալալը, 30 նախկին և գործող նախարարներ: Հետաքրքիր է, որ նույնիսկ ամերիկյան մամուլը, որ արքայական ընտանիքի մասին խոսելիս ավանդաբար գործընկերային պատշաճության սահմաններում է մնում, նկատեց, որ Սաուդյան Արաբիայի վերջին ձերբակալությունները հիշեցնում են անցած հունիսի արյունալի հեղաշրջումը, որի ընթացքում մեկուսացվեց նախկին թագաժառանգ՝ ներքին գործերի նախարար Մուհամմեդ Բեն Նայեֆին:

Նույն համատեքստում է դիտարկվում նաև այն փաստը, որ Կոմիտեն, Մոհամմադ Բեն Սալմանի գլխավորությամբ, շաբաթ գիշերն է շտապ նիստ գումարել և դրա ավարտից րոպեներ անց հրապարակել հիշյալ անձանց կալանավորման վճիռները: Ընդ որում, դրանից առաջ էլ Սալման թագավորն Արաբիայի նախկին թագավորի որդի և այդ երկրի ազգային պահակագնդի պետ Մոթըեբ Բեն Աբդոլազիզին էր աշխատանքից ազատել՝ միևնույն ժամանակ դադարեցնելով իր երկրից մեկնող և Արաբիա ժամանող բոլոր օդային թռիչքները: Պարզից էլ պարզ է, որ այս քայլն արվել է ձերբակալությունից առաջ Արաբիայի արքայազների ու պաշտոնատարների հնարավոր փախուստը կանխելու համար: Ակնհայտ է, որ չէր կարող պատահականություն լինել նաև արքայազներից մեկի ուղղաթիռի կործանումը, որ նույն օրը տեղի ունեցավ՝ Աբհա քաղաքի մոտակայքում, և որում առայժմ անհայտ թվով բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնյաներ են գտնվել (հայտնի է միայն այն, որ զոհվածների թվում է Սալման թագավորի նախկին թագաժառանգ–զարմիկ Մուքրին ալ–Սաուդի որդի Մանսուր բին Մուքրինը, որը նույնպես նոր թագաժառանգի՝ «Իսլամի չափավորության և համադրելիության հիմքով ազգային երկխոսություն և բարեփոխումներ» կուրսի ընդդիմադիրներից էր):

Եվ թե ինչ կհաջորդի այս ամենին՝ անհնար է կանխատեսել: Հստակ է միայն այն, որ ներկայում Արաբիայում պետության անվտանգության և կայունության երաշխիք է հանդիսանում ոչ թե ընդհանրապես սաուդիների դինաստիայի, այլ Սալման թագավորի որդի՝ Մուհամմադ իբն Սալման ալ–Սաուդ թագաժառանգի իշխանության հաստատումը: Բայց նաև շատ կասկածելի է, որ հին մեթոդներով առաջ ընթացող նոր միապետը կարողանա սկիզբ դնել խաղաղ ճանապարհով բարեփոխումների իրականացմանը, իսկ երկրում մշտապես կենդանի պահվող ջիհադի գաղափարը համատեղի կրոնական հանդուրժողականության և առկա Դոգմայի լայնախոհ բարենորոգչության հետ:
