Փարիզում հոկտեմբերի 30-ից նոյեմբերի 14-ը ՅՈՒՆԵՍԿՕ-ի կենտրոնակայանում ընթացող կազմակերպության Գլխավոր կոնֆերանսի շրջանակներում կայացան Մշակութային արժեքների` ծագման երկիր վերադարձը կամ ապօրինի յուրացման պարագայում դրանց ռեստիտուցիան խրախուսելու հարցերով միջկառավարական կոմիտեի (Intergovernmental Committee for Promoting the Return of Cultural Property (ICPRCP) to its Countries of Origin or its Restitution in case of Illicit Appropriation) ընտրությունները: Այս մասին «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ արտաքին գործերի նախարարության մամուլի, տեղեկատվության և հասարակայնության հետ կապերի վարչությունից:

Կոմիտեն հանդիսանում է «Մշակութային արժեքների ապօրինի ներմուծումը, արտահանումը և դրանց նկատմամբ սեփականության իրավունքի փոխանցումն արգելելու և կանխելու միջոցառումների մասին» ՅՈՒՆԵՍԿՕ-ի 1970թ. կոնվենցիայի միջկառավարական մարմինը:

Երկրորդ տարածաշրջանային խմբից (Արևելյան Եվրոպայի երկրներ) ընտրվել է Հայաստանը՝ 4 տարի ժամկետով: 2015թ. մայիսին Հայաստանն ընտրվել էր նույն Կոնվենցիայի անդամ պետությունների հանդիպման Օժանդակ կոմիտեի (Subsidiary Committee of the Meeting of States Parties to the 1970 Convention) անդամ` 4 տարի ժամկետով:

Տեղեկանք: 22 անդամ-երկրներից բաղկացած Կոմիտեն ստեղծվել է 1978 թվականին` կազմակերպության Գլխավոր կոնֆերանսի 20-րդ նստաշրջանի համապատասխան որոշման հիման վրա: 

Կոմիտեի հիմնական գործառույթներից է նպաստել պետությունների բազմակողմ և երկկողմ համագործակցությանը մշակութային արժեքների` ծագման երկիր վերադարձնելու կամ դրանց ռեստիտուցիան խրախուսելու մասով:
