Արա Աբրահամյանի շնորհիվ Հռոմի «Աբամելիք» վիլլայում գտնվող Սեմյոն Աբամելիք-Լազարևի հուշարձանը գրանցում է ստացել

Հռոմի կենտրոնում գտնվող և հյուսիսից Վատիկանին սահմանակից «Աբամելիք» վիլլայի «Բելվեդեր» պալատում տեղի է ունեցել Հռոմում ՌԴ դեսպանի կողմից տրվող հանդիսավոր ընդունելություն, որին ներկա է եղել Հռոմի վերնախավը, դիվանագիտական կորպուսի ներկայացուցիչները, հյուրեր ԱՄՆ-ից, Ռուսաստանից, Ֆրանսիայից, Հայաստանից և այլ երկրներից: Ուշադրության կենտրոնում ՌՀՄ նախագահ, ՅՈւՆԵՍԿՕ-ի բարի կամքի դեսպան Արա Աբրահամյանն էր: 10 տարի առաջ հենց Աբրահամյանի նախաձեռնությամբ «Աբամելիք» վիլլայի տարածքում տեղադրվեց Աբամելիք- Լազարևի հուշարձանը (քանդակագործ Մարտին Կակոսյան): Իսկ այսօր, նրա նախաձեռնությամբ, մեկենասի և մտավորականի հուշարձանն իր «անձնագիրը» ստացավ. պատվանդանին տեղադրվել է հուշատախտակ մեր հայտնի հայրենակցի անունով:

Իշխան Սեմյոն Աբամելիք-Լազարևը մահացել է 59 տարեկանում, 1916թ. սեպտեմբերի 19-ին՝ սրտի կաթվածից: Նրա կինը՝ Մարիա Պավլովնան, հայտնի հանքարդյունաբերող և Կիևի քաղաքագլուխ Դեմիդովի դուստրն էր, ամուսնու մահից հետո նա ապրել է 40 տարի և թաղվել Ֆլորենցիայի իր վիլլայում:

Նրանք երեխաներ չունեին, բայց իր գործունեության շնորհիվ Սեմյոն Աբամելիք-Լազարևը անգնահատելի մշակութային և հոգևոր ժառանգություն է թողել, իսկ նրա անունը դրոշմված է ոչ միայն քարին, այլ ամրագրված է պատմության մեջ և հավետ կմնա մարդկանց հիշողության մեջ:
