Հայաստանը Բրյուսելում նոյեմբերի 24-ին կայանալիք ԵՄ արևելյան գործընկերության գագաթնաժողովում ընդունվելիք հռչակագրում ակնկալում է իր ազգային շահերից բխող ձևակերպումներ: «Արմենպրես»-ի հետ զրույցում, անդրադառնալով հռչակագրում Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտության վերաբերյալ ձևակերպումների շուրջ անհամաձայնությունների մասին խոսակցություններին,  ՀՀ ազգային ժողովի արտաքին հարաբերությունների մշտական հանձնաժողովի նախագահ Արմեն Աշոտյանն ընդգծեց, որ այդ ուղղությամբ Հայաստանն ամբողջությամբ կատարել է իր աշխատանքը՝  ելնելով սպասումներից, որ  ԵՄ գործընկերները նույնպես պետք է գործադրեն համարժեք, շոշափելի ջանքեր:

«Ազգային ժողովի արտաքին հարաբերությունների  հանձնաժողովը, եվրոպական ինտեգրման հանձնաժողովի հետ միասին որոշում է կայացրել  դեկտեմբերի 1-ին հրավիրել թեմային վերաբերող խորհրդարանական լսումներ, ինչն  իրականում,  քաղաքական ավանս է, պարտավորեցնող քայլ, որպեսզի մեր եվրոպացի գործընկերները ևս մեկ անգամ համոզվեն, որ առաջիկա գագաթնաժողովին Հայաստանն իրեն անմիջականորեն վերաբերող հարցերում ակնկալում է այնպիսի ձևակերպումներ քաղաքական փաստաթուղթ հանդիսացող հռչակագրում, որոնք բխելու են մեր երկրի ազգային և պետական շահերից: Մենք մեր եվրոպացի գործընկերներից ակնկալում ենք ընկալում, որ  արցախյան հարցը մեզ համար աքսիոմատիկ գերակայություն է»,-ասաց Արմեն Աշոտյանը:
Պատգամավորը վստահեցնում է, որ հայկական կողմն ամեն ինչ անում է, որպեսզի փաստաթղթի ձևակերպումները համարժեք լինեն Հայաստանի պետական շահերին, Եվրոպական Միությունից մեր ակնկալիքներին՝ հատկապես ՀՀ և ԵՄ միջև Համապարփակ և ընդլայնված գործընկերության մասին համաձայնագրի համատեքստում, որը նախատեսվում է ստորագրել նոյեմբերի 24-ին կայանալիք ԱԼԳ գագաթնաժողովի ընթացքում: 
Նոյեմբերի 24-ին Բրյուսելում տեղի կունենա Եվրոպական Միության Արևելյան գործընկերության գագաթնաժողովը, որի արդյունքում նախատեսվում է հռչակագրի ընդունում: Շրջանառվող խոսակցությունների համաձայն՝ հռչակագրի տեքստն ամբողջությամբ հստակեցված է՝ բացառությամբ տարածաշրջանային հակամարտությունների վերաբերյալ պարբերությանը, որտեղ ԼՂ հիմնահարցի վերաբերյալ Հայաստանն ու Ադրբեջանը ցանկանում են ներառել միմյանց հակասող ձևակերպումներ:

Գագաթնաժողովի շրջանակում նախատեսվում է նաև Եվրոպական Միության և Հայաստանի միջև համապարփակ և ընդլայնված գործընկերության մասին համաձայնագրի ստորագրումը: ԱԼԳ գագաթնաժողովին մասնակցելու համար Բրյուսել է մեկնել ՀՀ նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը:

ԵՄ արևելյան գործընկերության անդամ երկրներն են Հայաստանը, Ուկրաինան, Բելառուսը, Մոլդովան և Ադրբեջանը:
