ՀՀ Նախագահը և Բելգիայի թագավորը քննարկել են հայ-բելգիական տնտեսական կապերի հետագա խորացման հնարավորությունները

Հայաստանի Հանրապետության Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը Բելգիա կատարած աշխատանքային այցի շրջանակներում հանդիպում է ունեցել Բելգիայի Թագավոր Ֆիլիպի հետ: Ինչպես «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ Նախագահի աշխատակազմի հասարակայնության և տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունից,
Հանրապետության Նախագահը և Բելգիայի Թագավորը իրենց հանդիպումը և Նախագահ Սարգսյանի բրյուսելյան այցը լավ հնարավորություն են համարել ամփոփելու Հայաստանի և Բելգիայի միջև դիվանագիտական հարաբերությունների հաստատումից հետո անցած քառորդդարյա ուղին, ինչպես նաև անդրադառնալու հարաբերությունների հետագա զարգացման հեռանկարին։ Զրուցակիցները հույս են հայտնել, որ այցի արդյունքում հայ-բելգիական բարեկամական հարաբերությունները կամրապնդվեն համագործակցության նոր նախաձեռնություններով։
Սերժ Սարգսյանը գոհունակությամբ է արձանագրել, որ այս տարիների ընթացքում երկու երկրների միջպետական հարաբերություններին բնորոշ է եղել փոխադարձ վստահությունը, բոլոր հարցերում փոխըմբռնման հասնելու և միմյանց սատարելու ցանկությունը, ինչը, Նախագահի համոզմամբ, մեծապես պայմանավորված է երկու ժողովուրդների պատմական անցյալով։ Նախագահը նշել է, որ Բելգիան Հայաստանի համար կարևոր գործընկեր է ինչպես երկկողմ, այնպես էլ բազմակողմ հարթակներում, մասնավորապես ԵՄ-ում։ Այդ համատեքստում Նախագահ Սարգսյանը և Բելգիայի Թագավոր Ֆիլիպն անդրադարձել են ԵՄ Արևելյան գործընկերության բրյուսելյան գագաթնաժողովում քննարկվելիք հարցերի օրակարգին, Հայաստան-ԵՄ հարաբերությունների զարգացման դինամիկային, նաև ԵՄ աջակցությամբ Հայաստանում մինչ այժմ իրականացված և ընթացող բարեփոխումներին, Արևելյան գործընկերության գագաթնաժողովի շրջանակներում նախատեսված` Հայաստանի և ԵՄ հարաբերությունների նոր շրջանակային փաստաթղթին` Համապարփակ և ընդլայնված գործընկերության համաձայնագրին։
Նկատի առնելով, որ Բելգիան ԵՄ-ում Հայաստանի առաջատար առևտրային գործընկերներից մեկն է, երկկողմ քաղաքական հարաբերություններից բացի կողմերը քննարկել են նաև հայ-բելգիական առևտրատնտեսական կապերի հետագա խորացման հնարավորությունները:
Հանդիպման ժամանակ Հանրապետության Նախագահը հայ ժողովրդի անունից երախտագիտություն է հայտնել Բելգիային` ինչպես Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի, այնպես էլ Սենատի կողմից Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը ճանաչող բանաձևի ընդունման համար:
