Եվրոպական ժողովրդական կուսակցության (ԵԺԿ) նախագահ Ժոզեֆ Դոլը կարևորել է Եվրամիության և Հայաստանի միջև Համապարփակ և ընդլայնված գործընկերության համաձայնագրի ստորագրումը: Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, այս մասին ԵԺԿ նախագահը հայտարարել է նոյեմբերի 23-ին Բրյուսելում՝ ԵԺԿ գագաթնաժողովի հռչակագրի ընդունմանը հաջորդած իր ելույթում:
«Ես ողջունում եմ ԵՄ-Հայաստան Համապարփակ և ընդլայնված գործընկերության համաձայնագրի ստորագրումը, որն անկյունաքարային նշանակություն է ունենալու այդ երկրի ու նրա ժողովրդի համար»,- նշել է Դոլը:
Նա ընդգծել է, որ օրենքի գերակայությունը, դեմոկրատիզացիան, բարեփոխումները, դատական անկախ համակարգը և կաշառակերության դեմ պայքարը շարունակում են լինել Արևելյան գործընկերության անդամ երկրների հետ ԵՄ փոխգործակցության խորացման հիմնական նախապայմանները:
Բրյուսելում ԵԺԿ գագաթնաժողովի արդյունքներով նոյեմբերի 23-ին ընդունվել է հռչակագիր:
Աշխատանքային այցով Բելգիայի Թագավորությունում գտնվող ՀՀ Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը նոյեմբերի 23-ին Բրյուսելում մասնակցել է Եվրոպական ժողովրդական կուսակցության գագաթնաժողովին:
Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը գագաթնաժողովում հանդես է եկել ելույթով, որում անդրադարձել է Հայաստան-Եվրամիություն համագործակցության օրակարգին և հարաբերությունների զարգացման դինամիկային, Հայաստանի համար ԵԺԿ և Արևելյան գործընկերության բրյուսելյան գագաթնաժողովներում քննարկվող հարցերի կարևորությանը, ԵՄ-ի հետ Հայաստանի ստորագրելիք Համապարփակ և ընդլայնված գործընկերության համաձայնագրին, ինչպես նաև միջկուսակցական համագործակցության զարգացման ուղղությամբ իրականացվող աշխատանքին: Նշելով, որ այս տարի լրանում է ԵԺԿ-ին ՀՀԿ անդամակցության 5-րդ տարեդարձը, Սերժ Սարգսյանը նկատել է, որ չնայած համեմատաբար կարճ ժամանակահատվածին՝ համատեղ աշխատանքի շնորհիվ ՀՀԿ-ն լիարժեքորեն ինտեգրվեց եվրոպական այս ընտանիքին: ԵԺԿ-ի հետ ՀՀԿ համագործակցությունը, Նախագահի գնահատմամբ, Հայաստանի համար դարձել է նաև եվրոպական քաղաքականությանը ներգրավման կարևորագույն հարթակներից մեկը:
