Այս տարի ավելի քան 800 հազար մարդ է փախստականի կարգավիճակ տրամադրելու խնդրագիր ներկայացրել Եվրոպայի երկրներում, ինչը կրկնակի գերազանցում է անցյալ տարվա ցուցանիշը: Այդ մասին, հոկտեմբերի 29-ին հաղորդել է Times թերթը՝ հղում անելով ՄԱԿ-ի փախստականների գործերի գերագույն կոմիսարի վարչության տվյալներին:
«Եվրոպայի 38 երկրներում փախստականի կարգավիճակ ստանալու դիմումների ընդհանուր թիվը ամսական տատանվում է 60 հազարից մինչեւ 115 հազար: Անցյալ տարվա հունվար-օգոստոս ամիսներին Եվրոպայում ապաստան ստանալու կարիք ուներ 397 հազար մարդ, այս տարվա համապատասխան ժամանակաշրջանում նման պահանջով եվրոպական պետությունների իշխանություններին դիմել է արդեն 834 հազար մարդ»,- հայտնել են վարչությունում:
Նշվում Է, որ Եվրամիության առավել զարգացած երկրներում փախստականի կարգավիճակ ստանալ ցանկացողների մեծամասնությունը Սիրիայի, Աֆղանստանի եւ Իրաքի քաղաքացիներն են: Մեծ թվով խնդրագրեր են ստացվում Ալբանիայից ժամանած աշխատանքային միգրանտների կողմից, հաղորդել է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
