Գեներալ Մանվելի զավակների կնունքին իշխանական թևը չի մասնակցել. «Հրապարակ»
POLITICS«Հրապարակ» թերթը գրում է. «Կիրակի օրը Նորավանքում տեղի է ունեցել գեներալ Մանվելի երեք զավակների՝ Այծեմնիկի, Արփենիկի, Վազգենիկի մկրտության արարողությունը։ Մանվելի դուստրերին Նորավանքում կնքելու խոստումը դեռ Վազգեն Սարգսյանն էր տվել, այդ պատճառով է կնունքը Սուրբ Էջմիածնից «տեղափոխվել» Վայոց Ձոր։
Քավորը գեներալի մոսկվաբնակ ընկերներից Վանաձորցի Սեւակն է եղել։ Իշխանական հիերարխիայից որեւէ մեկը, այդ թվում եւ Սերժ Սարգսյանը, ներկա չի եղել։ Մասնակցել է գեներալի մերձավոր շրջապատը՝ Սեյրան Սարոյան, Սուրիկ Խաչատրյան։ Ներկա են եղել բոլոր Մանվելները՝ գեներալի երեք Մանվել թոռները, ինչպես նաեւ հարեւանների բոլոր Մանվելները (գեներալի փողոցում շատ կան Մանվել անունը կրողներ)։
«Հացն» էլ տվել են ոչ թե, ինչպես միշտ, Էջմիածնի «Վան» ռեստորանում, այլ Եղեգնաձորի օբյեկտներից մեկում։ Խնջույքը քաղցրացրել է Մանվել Գրիգորյանի երկարամյա բարեկամ, գուսանական, ռազմահայրենասիրական երգերի կատարող Սերգեյ Կարինյանը, որը «Մանվելի քաջեր» երգի հեղինակն է։
Ականատեսների վկայությամբ՝ մոտ մեկ ժամից ավելի գեներալի մարդիկ փակել են Նորավանք տանող ճանապարհը, ու քաղաքացիները, որոնց շարքերում զբոսաշրջիկներ են եղել, չեն կարողացել մուտք գործել Նորավանք»:
