Վերջերս շատ է խոսվում այն մասին, որ Կարապետյանն ու Սարգսյանը պայմանավորածության են եկել ու ներիշխանական կոնֆլիկտը հանգուցալուծվել է:
Իրավիճակի վերլուծությունը ցույց է տալիս, սակայն, որ  որևէ պայմանավորվածություն էլ չի եղել: Նույնիսկ եթե եղել է, համակարգն այնպիսին է, որ պայմանավորվծությունների խախտումը առօրյա պրակտիկա է դարձել: Ավելի շուտ փոխվել է իրավիճակը, իրավիճակից Կարապետյանի ունեցած սպասումները: Նրա բավական ակտիվ մեկնարկային արագությունն այժմ իջել է, ինչը բնական է, որոհետև ներիշխանական պայքրաը հեշտ բան չէ ու ահռելի ռեսուրս է խլում:

Բուն պաշտոնական գործունեությունից զատ կամ դրա փոխարեն, ստիպված ես լինում վերնախավում քո տեղի և դերի համար ինտրիգային մի մեծ սյուժեի մաս դառնալ: Ինչպես Սերժ Սարգսյանի դեպքում, այնպես էլ Կարեն Կարապետյանի, ցանկությունները երկրորդվում են առավել կարևոր բանի ՝ իշխանությունը կամ իշխանության մասնաբաժինը պահելուն: Կարեն Կարապետյանն, իհարկե, կուզեր լինել վարչապետ նաև 2018թ. ապրիլից հետո: Բայց եթե այդ ցանկությունը պիտի նրանից խլի իր քաղաքական կարիերան, նա ավելի հակված կլինի ասենք մնալ փոխվարչապետ ՝ Սերժ Սարգսյանի վարչապետության օրոք:

Պատահական չէ, որ համաձայնության գալու մասին լուրերի սլաքները տանում են դեպի Կարապետյան: Հենց նա և իր թիմն են, որ Վիգեն Սարգսյան-Սերժ Սարգսյան հնարավոր երկընտրանքի դեպքում ավելի հակված են Սերժ Սարգսյանի թեկնածությանը:
