Հայաստանում հաշմանդամություն ունեցող անձանց համար միջավայրի հարմարավետության հարցում որոշակի առաջընթաց կա։ 

«Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ՝ այս մասին լրագրողների հետ զրույցում ասաց հաշմանդամության խնդիրներով զբաղվող «Ունիսոն» հասարակական կազմակերպության ղեկավար Արմեն Ալավերդյանը։ 
«Մայրաքաղաքում որոշակի առաջընթաց է նկատվում՝ հազարավոր թեքահարթակներ են կառուցվել, և ոչ միայն կենտրոնում, այլ նաև բոլոր վարչական շրջաններում։ Մենք պետք է հասնենք 100 տոկոսանոց արդյունքի, մեզ համար 90 տոկոսը բավարար չէ։ Մարզերի մասին նույնը չեմ կարող ասել, այնտեղ ավելի քիչ են հարմարությունները»,- նշեց Ալավերդյանը և հավելեց, որ վերջին տարիներին կառուցված բոլոր թեքահարթակները համապատասխանում են բոլոր չափանիշներին։ 
Նրա խոսքով՝ պետական կառույցները որոշում կայացնելիս, եթե հաշվի առնեն ՀԿ-ների կարծիքներն, ապա ավելի արդյունավետ կլինեն իրենց աշխատանքները։ 
«Ունիսոն» ՀԿ-ի ղեկավարը, անդրադառնալով տրանսպորտի խնդիրն, ասաց, որ այժմ հաշմանդամություն ունեցող անձանց համար հարմարեցված 25 ավտոբուս կա։ Նրա խոսքով՝ որոշակի աշխատանքներ այդ ուղղությամբ տարվում են, բայց այդ հարցը դեռևս մնում է շատ խնդրահարույց։ 
Տեսողական խնդիր ունեցող անձանց համար անցումները գծանշելու, հատուկ ռելիեֆային մակերեսով պատելու գործընթաց է սկսվել։
