Հայկական ֆուտբոլի լեգենդ Խորեն Հովհաննիսյանը նշանակվել է Երևանի «Միկա» ակոււմբի նախագահ և արդեն անցել է աշխատանքի: Այս մասին ասաց «Միկա»-ի մամուլի խոսնակ Աշոտ Մարտիրոսյանը: Վերջինս Ö �աստեց, որ թղթաբանության հետ կապված հարցեր կան, որոնք վերջնական տեսքի կբերվեն առաջիկայում:
Հովհաննիսյանը ԽՍՀՄ առաջնության բարձրագույն խմբում հանդես է եկել Երևանի «Արարատի» (1975-1985) և Տաշքենդի «Պախտակորի» (1991) թիմերում։ «Արարատի» կազմում անցկացրել է 295 խաղ, խփել 93 գոլ։ Ընդհանուր առմամբ, խփել է 113 գոլ։ Օլիմպիական խաղերի բրոնզե մեդալակիր է (1980), Եվրոպայի երիտասարդական առաջնության հաղթող (1976): 1979-84-ին հանդես է եկել ԽՍՀՄ գլխավոր հավաքականում (37 խաղ, 8 գոլ)։ Հայաստանի ֆուտբոլիստներից առաջինն է մասնակցել աշխարհի առաջնության եզրափակիչ փուլին (1982) և խփել 1 գոլ։ Հանդես է եկել նաև ԽՍՀՄ պատանեկան հավաքականում։
Ավարտելով մրցելույթները՝ մարզչական աշխատանքի է անցել Հայաստանում, ղեկավարել Երևանի ՀՄԸՄ և «Փյունիկ» թիմերը, մարզել է Բեյրութի ՀՄԸՄ-ն, 1996-97-ին գլխավորել է Հայաստանի ազգային հավաքականը։ 2004 թվականին ՈՒԵՖԱ-ի ստեղծման 50-րդ տարեդարձի առթիվ կազմակերպված քվեարկության արդունքում ճանաչվել է Հայաստանի (1954-2003) լավագույն ֆուտբոլիստ։ 2010թ. մայիսի 24-ին ՀՀ Նախագահի հրամանագրով պարգևատրվել է Մովսես Խորենացու մեդալով:
