«ՄԱԿ-ի Երջանկության հա­մաշխարհային զեկույցում Հայաստանը 122-րդ հորիզոնականում է՝ տարածաշրջանում ամենատխուր երկրներից մեկը: 156 երկրում անցկացված ուսումնասիրու­թյան շրջանակներում երջանիկ երկիր համարվելու համար հաշվի առնված 6 չափորոշիչով՝ համախառն ազ­գային արդյունք, առողջ կյանքի տևողություն, սոցիալական աջակցություն, վստահություն, սեփական կյանքի վերաբերյալ որոշումներ կայացնելու ազատություն և այլն, Հայաստանն ստորին հորիզոնականներ է զբաղեց­նում:

Այնքան վատ, որ մեր երկիրն իր դիրքով զիջում է անգամ 94-րդ և 114-րդ հորիզոնականներում հայտն­ված Սոմալիին և Մոզամբիկին: Այս բոլոր ցուցանիշների հանրագումարը տնտեսագիտության մեջ կոչվում է կյանքի որակ:

Տնտեսագետ Գագիկ Մակարյանի գնահատմամբ՝ առանց այն էլ այս ցուցանիշով փայլուն տվյալներ չունե­ցող Հայաստանը վերջին տարիներին պետք է ավելի վատացրած լինի իր դիրքերն առողջ կյանքի տևողության ցուցանիշով:

 «Մեր վատ սնվելը, էկոլոգիական խնդիրները, ներվային իրավիճակը, աղքատության, գործազրկության մտահոգությունները, որովհետև այսօր չորս-հինգ հոգանոց ընտանիքին, միջինին մոտ ապրելու համար, 600-700 հազար դրամ գումար է պետք: Իսկ դրանից պակաս վաս­տակի դեպքում ընտանիքն արդեն վատ է ապրում:

Բոլոր այս գործոն­ները մեր առողջության գործակցի վրա շատ վատ են անդրադարձել, որովհետև դրա արդյունքն է, որ մենք երկու հարյուր քսան հազարից ավելի հաշմանդամներ ունենք, տարիքավոր մարդիկ և մի քանի հիվանդություն­՝ քաղցկեղ, սրտանոթային և այլն, որոնք բավականին մեծ տոկոսայ­նություն են կազմում Հայաստանում: Բնակչության շատ մեծ թվով մարդիկ, լավագույն դեպքում, իհարկե, անընդ­հատ ախտորոշիչ կենտրոններում են՝ իրենց առողջական վիճակը հետազոտելու համար»,- թվարկում է տնտե­սագետը:

Գագիկ Մակարյանի ամփոփմամբ՝ սննդի, փողի և սթրեսային վիճակների պատճառով բնակչության առողջության ինդեքսը վատացել է՝ անկախ նրանից, թե ինչ ցուցանիշներ են ներկայացվում: Այս համատեքս­տում նշենք, որ Եվրոպական միու­թյան երկրներին հանձնվողների մի ստվար հատված էլ եվրոպացիներին ասում է, որ Հայաստանում իմանալով հիվանդության մասին, որը ֆինանսա­կան ահռելի ռեսուրսներ է պահանջե­լու, գերադասում են գնալ, այնտեղ անձնագրերը պատռել ու ստանալ նորմալ բժշկական բուժում և խնամք­»,-գրում է թերթը:
