Սպիտակցի Հայկոյի կոնսերվատորիական կրթության մասին ազգն իմացավ այն ժամանակ, երբ անձամբ Գրիգորիչը հիացմունքով խոսեց իր աշակերտի մասին, ու նշեց, որ Հայկի դիապազոնով երգիչը հանգիստ կարող էր օպերայի բեմերը զարդարել: Սակայն Սպիտակցին, ինչպես և ցանկացած խելացի մարդ, հասկացավ, որ պետք է աշխատել «պահանջարկը ծնում է առաջարկ» սկզբունքով և որոշեց ռաբիսին անդավաճան մնալ, քանի որ դժվար թե հայկական հարսանիքներում ինչ-որ մեկի մտքովն անցնի օպերային արիայի տակ խորոված մատուցել:

Թաթուլի անձի էպոտաժային լինելը միշտ ավելորդ հետաքրքրություն է առաջացրել երգչի հանդեպ: Թաթուլը մի անգամ խոստովանել է, որ իրականում ինքը ոչ թե ռաբիս, այլ ջազ է սիրում: Հավատում ենք, բայց, ափսոս, որ հենց Թաթուլի երգերի շնորհիվ շատերը մանուկ տարիքից այդպես էլ մեծանում են նրա մատուցած երաժշտության տակ ու երազում մի օր դուետ երգել Թաթուլի հետ:
