Կիմա Բալյանը ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում գրում է.
Անկախության տարիներից ի վեր շատ անգամներ են խոսվել Հայաստանում ֆուտբոլի զարգացման, դրա նախադրյալների և կարևորության մասին, սակայն ցայսօր դեռ ոչ մի դրական տեղաշարժ, ոչ մի խոստումնալից քայլ դեպի առաջընթաց չի արվել կամ արվել է, բայց ոչ արդյունավետ կերպով: Այսօր ի ուրախություն ամենամասսայական սպորտաձևի սիրահարներին, այն կարող է զարգանալ նաև Հայաստանում, եթե մամուլով շրջանառվող լուրերը իրականում գոյություն ունեն:
Մասնավորապես խոսքը վերաբերվում է արդեն օրեր շարունակ շրջանառվող այն լուրին, որի համաձայն ՀԱՕԿ նախագահ Գագիկ Ծառուկյանը երկու ֆուտբոլային թիմ է ձեռք բերել, որոնցից մեկը Աբովյանի Կոտայքն է, իսկ մյուսը Երևանի Լոկոմոտիվը:
Դեռ վաղուց, երբ հայկական ֆուտբոլը անհաջողություններ էր գրանցում մեկը մյուսի հետևից, հայ ֆուտբոլասերները բազմիցս են այս դիմում-խնդրանքը բարձրաձայնել, ցանկանալով Գագիկ Ծառուկյանին տեսնել նաև ֆուտբոլի ոլորտում: Գաղտնիք չէ, որ Ծառուկյանը յուրահատուկ վերաբերմունք ունի դեպի սպորտը և բոլոր այն ոլորտները, որին նա դիպչում է, մեղմ ասած ուղղակիրոն ծաղկում է: Ահա այս օրինաչափությունն է պատճառը, որ հայ ֆուտբոլասերը ցանկանում է Գագիկ Ծառուկյանին տեսնել նաև ֆուտբոլի ոլորտում, քանզի այս մարզաձևի զարգացումը հնարավոր է պատկերացնել միայն Գագիկ Ծառուկյանի նման հայրենասեր, սպորտասեր մարդու միջամտութայն շնորհիվ: Իհարկե բոլոր մարզաձևերն էլ կարևոր են երկիրը ներկայացնելու տեսանկյունից և Ծառուկյանի ղեկավարման տարիներին բազմաթիվ հաղթանակներ են կերտվել և հսկայական առաջընթաց է գրանցվել սպորտի ոլորտում, այդ թվում նաև օլիմպիական ոսկի է բերվել Հայաստան, սակայն չենք կարող չհամաձայնվել այն մտքի հետ, որ ֆուտբոլը լինելով աշխարհում ամենամասսայականացված մարզաձևը, իր զարգացման, առաջխաղացման, իսկ հետագայում էլ նաև լրջագույն հաղթանակների շնորհիվ էլ ավելի ճանաչողություն կբերի մեր պետությանն ու ժողովրդին: Հուսանք, որ մոտ օրերս լուրի իսկությունը կհաստատվի նաև պաշտոնական մակարդակով և այդ ժամանակ շունչներս պահած կսպասենք այն բաղձալի պահին, երբ հայկական ակումբները հնարավորություն կստանան մասնակցել միջազգային բարձր հեղինակություն ունեցող մրցարշարերի, ինչպիսին է Եվրոպայի լիգան: Բնականաբար այդ պատմական պահը կերտելու համար շատ աշխատանք և ջանք է հարկավոր, բայց հաշվի առնելով հանգամանքը, որ Ծառուկյանն է ուշադրություն դարձրել ոլորտին, դա արդեն իսկ լուրջ երաշխիք է, որպեսզի հայ ֆուտբոլասերի երկարամյա երազանքը իրականություն դառնա:
