Ինչպես հայ զինվորը փրկեց ԱՄՆ-ի ապագա սենատորի կյանքը
SOCIETY«Կյանքիս փրկության համար պարտական եմ հայ զինվորին»՝ այս բառերով սկսեց իր ելույթը Միացյալ Նահանգների նախկին սենատոր Մարկ Քըրքը, ում ուրբաթ օրը Վաշինգտոնում գտնվող Հայաստանի խորհրդարանականները պատգեւատրեցին Ազգային Ժողովի պատվո մեդալով: Այդ մասին հայտնում է «Ամերիկայի ձայնը»։
Տարիներ առաջ Հայաստան ժամանելով դեռեւս որպես ԱՄՆ-ի Կոնգրեսի շարքային աշխատակից Մարկ Քըրքը այցելել էր սահմանագիծ՝ իրավիճակին ծանոթանալու նպատակով, սակայն, եթե ապագա սենատորի կողքին չլիներ հայ զինվորը՝ այդ այցը կարող էր վերջինը դառնալ, պատմում է նա.
«Մենք խրամատում էինք, Տերտերի մոտակայքում, նայում էինք ադրբեջանական դիրքերի վրա: Ես սխալմամբ գլուխս բարձրացրեցի եւ հենց այդ պահին օձիքիս վրա զգացի հայ զինվորի ձեռքը, որն ինձ հետ քաշեց: Անմիջապես այն տեղով, որտեղ մեկ վայրկյան առաջ գլուխս էր, անցավ ադրբեջանական գնդակը: Հայ զինվորն իմ կյանքը փրկեց, իսկ ինձ համար դաս եղավ, որ չի կարելի գլուխը բարձրացնել խրամատից»:
Այդ այցելությունից սենատորը եւս մեկ դաս քաղեց, նշում է նա: Հայ ժողովրդի նկատմամբ պատմությունն անարդար էր եւ անհրաժեշտ է վերականգնել պատմական արդարությունը, առաջին հերթին ճանաչելով Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը: Ո՞վ է հիշում հայերին, կրկնում է սենատոր Քրքը Ադոլֆ Հիթլերի սարսափելի հարցը.
«Ո՞վ է հիշում հայերին՝ ե՛ս եմ հիշում հայերին, եւ մեզանից ոչ ոք չպետք է մոռանա Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը, չպետք է մոռանա հայ ժողովրդին՝ հրաշալի, արարիչ ժողովրդին»:
Սենատորի պաշտոնին Մարք Քըրքի հայանպաստ աշխատանքի ծավալն աննախադեպ էր, նշում են ԱՄՆ-ի հայ համայնքի կարեւորագույն կազմակերպությունների՝ Ամերիկայի հայկական համագումարի ու Ամերիկայի Հայ Դատի հանձնախմբի ներկայացուցիչներ Բրայըն Արդունին ու Արամ Համբարյանը: ՀՀ դեսպան Գրիգոր Հովհաննիսյանն էլ Հայաստանի անունից է շնորհակալություն հայտնում.
«Դուք ձեր ուրույն տեղն եք գրավել մեր սրտներում, մենք էլ հույս ունենք, Հայաստանը ձեր սրտում իր տեղն ունի»:
Պատվո մեդալը փոխանցելիս Ազգային Ժողովի փոխխոսնակ Արփինե Հովհաննիսյանը նշում է, որ տարիներ առաջ հետեւելով Մարկ Քըրքի գործունեությանը չէր պատկերացնում, որ հենց ինքն է հանձնելու մեդալը.
«Ես նույնիսկ չէի կարող երազել, որ պատիվ կունենամ այս մեդալով պարգեւատրել հարգարժան սենատորին»:
Տեղեկանալով, որ Արփինե Հովհաննիսյանը ներկայացնում է Հայաստանի խորհրդարանում մեծամասնություն կազմող Հանրապետական կուսակցությունը, սենատոր Քըրքը, ով ԱՄՆ-ի Հանրապետական կուսակցության անդամ է, անմիջապես կատակում է՝ «Եթե ԱՄՆ-ում իրադարձությունները վատ ընթանան եւ Դոնալդ Թրամփի հանրապետական վարչակազմը ձախողվի, մենք՝ ԱՄՆ-ի հանրապետականներս, հավանաբար Հայաստան կտեղափոխվենք՝ ապաստան խնդրելու»:
