ՌԴ նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինը հայտարարել է, որ Ռուսաստանի եւ ԱՄՆ–ի հասցեին ուղղված փոխադարձ մեղադրանքները ոչ մի լավ բանի չեն բերել։ Այս մասին ամերիկյան NBC հեռուստաալիքին տված հարցազրույցում նշել է ՌԴ առաջնորդը, փոխանցում է ՌԲԿ–ն։
Խոսելով ռուս–ամերիկյան հարաբերությունների մասին՝ պետության ղեկավարը նշել է, որ պետք է հանգիստ նստել, խոսել եւ հասկանալ ամեն ինչ. «Ես կարծում եմ, որ ներկայիս նախագահը ցանկանում է դա անել, բայց կան ուժեր, որոնք նրան թույլ չեն տալիս»,–ասել է Պուտինը։
Դոնալդ Թրամփը, Պուտինի կարծիքով, մեծ փորձով եւ արագ ընկալող գործարար է, չնայած նրան, որ նորելուկ է քաղաքականության մեջ։
ՌԴ առաջնորդը հիշեցրել է, որ ԱՄՆ–ն է Ռուսաստանին ընդգրկել իր հակառակորդների թվում. «Մենք չենք ձեզ կոչել մեր թշնամիները: Դուք եք որոշում կայացրել խորհրդարանի, Կոնգրեսի մակարդակով, եւ Ռուսաստանին ընդգրկել թշնամիների ցանկում: Ինչու՞ եք դա արել: Մենք պատժամիջոցներ կիրառե՞լ ենք Միացյալ Նահանգների դեմ»,–շեշտել է նա։
Պատասխանելով հարցին, մտահոգված չէ նա, որ ՌԴ քաղաքացիները տապալում են ամերիկյան ժողովրդավարության կարգերը՝ Պուտիրնն եւս մեկ անգամ ընգծել է, որ չի տեսել որեւէ ապացույց այն բանի, որ Ռուսաստանը միջամտել է ամերիկյան ընտրություններին՝ խախտելով ռուսական օրենսդրությունը։
