Վարչապետ Հովիկ Աբրահամյանն ընդունել է ՌԴ Դաշնային ժողովի Դաշնության խորհրդի նախագահ Վալենտինա Մատվիենկոյին: Նախ տեղի է ունեցել ՀՀ վարչապետի և ՌԴ Դաշնային Ժողովի Դաշնության խորհրդի նախագահի առանձնազրույցը, այնուհետև հանդիպումը շարունակվել է  պատվիրակությունների ընդլայնված կազմով:     

Ինչպես «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ կառավարության տեղեկատվության եւ հասարակայնության հետ կապերի վարչությունից, Հովիկ Աբրահամյանը ՀՀ կառավարության և անձամբ իր անունից ցավակցություն է  հայտնել Շարմ էլ-Շեյխ-Սանկտ Պետերբուրգ չվերթն իրականացնող ինքնաթիռի կործանման կապակցությամբ և նշել, որ հայ ժողովուրդը  սգում է եղբայրական ռուս ժողովրդի հետ միասին:

Կառավարության ղեկավարը բարձր է գնահատել տիկին Մատվիենկոյի ներդրումը երկու բարեկամ ժողովուրդների ու պետությունների հարաբերությունների ընդլայնման և խորացման գործում: Վարչապետը վստահություն է հայտնել, որ նրա այցն էապես կնպաստի հայ-ռուսական դաշնակցային հարաբերությունների հետագա ամրապնդմանը, և այս համատեքստում կարևորել համագործակցությունը խորհրդարանական ձևաչափում: Կառավարության ղեկավարի խոսքով՝ առկա է փոխգործակցության մեծ ներուժ ապակենտրոնացված համագործակցության ոլորտում, ինչի իրացմանը նոր ազդակ կարող է հաղորդել տիկին Մատվիեկոյի մասնակցությամբ Երևանում անցկացվելիք հայ-ռուսական միջտարածաշրջանային չորրորդ համաժողովը: Վարչապետը վստահություն է հայտնել, որ համաժողովի ընթացքում ձեռք բերվելիք պայմանավորվածությունները նոր թափ կհաղորդեն երկու երկրների տարածաշրջանների միջև ավանդական դարձած համագործակցությանն ինչպես  առևտրատնտեսական, այնպես էլ տեղեկատավակական տեխնոլոգիաների, գիտության, կրթության, մշակույթի և այլ ոլորտներում: 

Վալենտինա Մատվիենկոն շնորհակալություն է հայտնել Հովիկ Աբրահամյանին ջերմ ընդունելության համար և բարձր գնահատել Հայաստանի ու Ռուսաստանի միջև բազմակողմ հարաբերությունների ներկա մակարդակը և նշել, որ դրանում մեծ է նաև վարչապետ Աբրահամյանի ներդրումը: Տիկին Մատվիենկոն գոհունակությամբ է ընդգծել երկու երկրների խորհրդարանների և կառավարությունների միջև ակտիվ և սերտ երկխոսությունը, ինչը նպաստում է  երկու ռազմավարական հարաբերություններ ունեցող երկրների կապերի հետագա ամրապնդմանը: Միաժամանակ, Վալենտինա Մատվիենկոն շեշտել է, որ Հավաքական անվտանգության պայմանագրի կազմակերպության և Եվրասիական տնտեսական միության նախագահությունը Հայաստանի կողմից ստանձնելը կնպաստի անվտագության և տնտեսության բնագավառում համատեղ ծրագրերի իրականացմանն ու կյանքի կոչմանը:

Խոսելով հայ-ռուսական միջտարածաշրջանային չորրորդ համաժողովի մասին՝ տիկին Մատվիենկոն վստահություն է հայտնել, որ այն նոր թափ կհաղորդի երկու երկրների տարածաշրջանների միջև հարաբերությունների խորացմանը, գործարար կապերի ընդլայնմանն ու առևտրաշրջանառության ծավալների աճին:

Հանդիպման ընթացքում զրուցակիցները քննարկել են հայ-ռուսական հարաբերությունների օրակարգային մի շարք հարցեր, անդրադարձել Հայաստանում դեկտեմբերի 6-ին անցկացվելիք Սահմանադրության փոփոխությունների հանրաքվեին, տարածաշրջանային խնդիրների:
