Օտարության մեջ ապրող հայի շուրթը ճաքում է կարոտից ու օր առաջ հայրենի հողի վրա ոտք դնելու ցանկությունը դառնում է փափագ , տենչանք: Մանկություն, որը հուշի թև է սլացքի ու ժամանակի հետ թևածող: Ամեն անգամ հայոց եկեղեցին, Արարատ լեռը հիշեցնում են ով լինելդ, արմատներդ, գենդ և այդ դեպքում որևէ օտարի հարստեւթյուն չի կարող քեզ հետ պահել ` հայրենիք մեկնելը անխուսափելի է , հավատքի պես անհրաժեշտ: Ահա նմանատիպ պատմություն ունի երգիչ Սրմեն Խլղաթյանը, ում «Հայի զավակ» տեսահոլովակը կարծես կենսագրություն լինի, որի մեջ կա կյանքի բոլոր գույները հարիր ազգությամբ հային:
 
Սփյուռքում բնակվող երգիչը էությամբ, դաստիարակությամբ միգուցե ավելին է զգացել օտարի սառը շունչը: Փոքրիկ հարցազրույցով փորձեցինք բացահայտել նրա ապրումները, որոնք արտացոլված են «Հայի զավակ» տեսահոլովակում:
 
-Այս տեսահոլովակի թեման պանդխտության մեջ ապրող հայի մասին է, ի՞նչ զգացումներ էիք ապրում նկարահանման ընթացքում:
 
-Քանի որ մանկուց ապրում եմ ՌԴ - ում, միշտ հայրենիքիս կարոտը սրտումս է եղել: Իմ ամեն այցը Հայաստան ինձ համար տոնի է վերածվել, առավել ևս երբ նկարահանում էինք «Հայի զավակ» երգի տեսահոլովակը, այդտեղ ես իմ պատմությունն եմ տեսնում` հախուռն ու բուռն զգացմունքներով: Տեսահոլովակում 90- ական թվականների ցուրտ և մութ տարիների հիշողություններն են: Մեր սերնդակից ամեն մի հայ իրեն է գտնում այն դիտելիս: Ունենք տեսարան կիսաքանդ եկեղեցու մոտ, անհնար էր ականատես լինել ու չհուզվել, գիտակցելով թե խոնարհված եկեղեցու պատերի ներսում դարավոր ինչ պատմություն կա :
 
-Հայրենասիրությունը սերմանվո՞ւմ է, թ՞ե հոսում է հայի երակներում:
 
-Վստահ եմ, որ արյան հետ է հոսում, բայց անշուշտ նաև սերմանվում է մեծերի կողմից, ծնողներից, քանի որ մանկուց երեխան պիտի իմանա իր նախնիների անցյալը , ազգի պատմությունը: Օտարության մեջ ապրող ամեն հայի մոտ վաղ թե ուշ զարթնում ու զարգանում է զգացմունքներն ու պոռթկուն ապրումները կապված թասիբի, հայի զտարյուն տեսակին տեր լինելու, հայրենասիրությամբ լցվելու համար:
 
-«Հայի զավակ» տեսահոլովակը բարություն, բարեգործություն է քարոզում, այն մո՞տ է ձեր իրական կերպարին:
 
-Իհարկե շատ մոտ է իմ տեսակին: Շատ նամակներ եմ ստանում թե սփյուռքից թե Հայաստանից , մարդիկ գրում են, որ իրենց ճակատագրի մասնիկն են տեսել տեսահոլովակում, դրանից հուզվում եմ, միաժամանակ ուրախանում, որ ասելիքս տեղ է հասել: Հաճախ ասում են դիտելուց հետո վճռական տրամադրված ցանկացել են հայրենիք գնալ: Կարծում եմ սա բոլորիս հոգու երգն է, հիմքում հայի կարոտի կանչը:
