 Արտահերթ ընտրությունների հարցը պետք է քննարկվի ՀՀ ազգային ժողովում և այնտեղ էլ պետք է լուծում տրվի: ՀՀ նախագահի մրցանակի հանձնման հանդիսավոր արարողությունից հետո լրագրողների հետ զրույցում այս մասին նշեց ՀՀ նախագահ Արմեն Սարգսյանը:

«Արտահերթ ընտրություններ պետք են, թե պետք չեն, ես կարծում եմ, որ երկու մեծ սուբյեկտ կա, որ պետք է որոշում կայացնի այդ հարցի շուրջ: Մեկը Հայաստանի ժողովուրդն է, մյուսը՝ ժողովրդի համապատասխան մարմինն Ազգային ժողովում»,- ասաց Արմեն Սարգսյանը:

Նրա խոսքով, եթե այդպիսի որոշում ընդունվի, ապա նախագահի պարտականությունը կլինի իր լիազորությունների սահմաններում անել ամեն ինչ, որպեսզի այդ ընտրությունները լինեն արդար և արդարացի:

Հայաստանում ապրիլ-մայիս ամիսներին ներքաղաքական գործընթացների, ակցիաների, քաղաքացիական անհնազանդության գործողությունների հետևանքով խորհրդարանում փոքրամասնություն կազմող ուժը՝ «Ելք» խմբակցությունը ձևավորեց կառավարություն՝ ԲՀԿ-ի և ՀՅԴ-ի տրամադրելով նախարարական մի քանի մանդատ: ԱԺ-ում շարունակում է մեծամասնություն կազմել ՀՀԿ-ն: ՀՀ վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը ձգտում է անցկացնել արտահերթ խորհրդարանական ընտրություններ՝ մինչև տարեվերջ: Նա մինչ վարչապետ դառնալն ու դրանից հետո բազմիցս հայտարարել է, որ արդար և թափանցիկ արտահերթ խորհրդարանական ընտրությունների անցկացումն իրենց առաջնահերթություններից է: ՀՀԿ-ն դրանք աննպատակահարմար է որակում:
