ՀՀ վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը կարծում է՝ Առաջին Հանրապետության 100-ամյակին հայ ժողովուրդն ապրում է իր քաղաքացիական պատմության փառապանծ էջը: Այս մասին նա հայտարարեց Սարդարապատի հուշահամալիրում Առաջին Հանրապետության 100-ամյակին նվիրված տոնակատարության ժամանակ: Փաշինյանի խոսքով՝ այսօր Հայաստանում հաստատված է ժողովրդի անշրջելի իշխանությունը: «Այլևս երբեք ոչ ոք չի համարձակվի բռնանալ ժողովրդի կամքին, որևէ մեկը չի համարձակվի ժողովրդին նվաստացնել ընտրակաշառքի, վարչական հարկադրանքի կամ այլ միջոցով: Հայ ժողովրդի վերածնունդն ու թռիչքը կասեցնելու, ժողովրդի հույսն ու լավատեսությունը կոռուպցիայի ու ամենաթողության մեջ խեղդելու ցանկացած փորձ կարժանանա ջախջախիչ հակահարվածի: Հայաստանի Հանրապետության հաղթական քաղաքացին այլևս թույլ չի տա պետականության կամ քաղաքացիության կորուստ, ինքնիշխանության, հավատի ու լավատեսության կորուստ»,-«Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ՝ շեշտեց վարչապետը:
Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն ընդգծեց, որ այսօր պատմական հնարավորություն է ստեղծվել դառնալ ժողովրդի «հազարավոր ցավերի դարմանողը, անփարատելի սգի ամոքիչը, դարավոր երազանքների իրականացնողը»: Որպես Առաջին Հանրապետության հայրերի ժառանգներ՝ ժամանակակից սերունդը պարտավորություն է կրում ստանձնելու պատմական այդ առաքելությունը: «Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունը երկիր մոլորակի վրա պետք է գոյություն ունենա հավիտյան, ՀՀ դրոշը պետք է հավիտյան ծածանվի՝ խորհրդանշելով մեր ոգին ու հպարտությունը, մեր ազատությունն ու ինքնիշխանությունը»,-ասաց ՀՀ վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը:
Մայիսի 28-ին Հայաստանի Առաջին Հանրապետության հիմնադրման և Սարդարապատի հերոսամարտում տոնած պատմական հաղթանակի 100-ամյակն է՝ Հանրապետության տոնը: Հոբելյանական այս տարում ծրագրված են բազմաթիվ միջոցառումներ՝ գիտաժողովներ, համաժողովներ, մշակութային ու հասարակական տարբեր հանդիսություններ: ՀՀ բարձրագույն իշխանությունը մայիսի 28-ին այցելել է Սարդարապատի հուշահամալիր` հարգանքի տուրք մատուցելու անկախության և ազատության համար կռիվ մղած հերոսների հիշատակին:
Սարդարապատում օրվա գլխավոր իրադարձություններից է «Հաղթանակի դար» վերտառությամբ զինվորական շքերթը: Երեկոյան Երևանի Հանրապետության հրապարակում համերգով կեզրափակվի հոբելյանական օրը:
