«Որ կողմ նայում ես՝ ամայություն է։ Մեռյալ վիճակ։ Քաղաքականության մեջ, կրթական, մշակութային, լրատվական դաշտում՝ ամենուրեք։ Ոչ նոր բան է ծնվում, ոչ կենդանության նշաններ կան, ոչ պայքար, ոչ վեճ, ոչ առաջընթաց։ Անգամ նոր Սահմանադրության և կառավարման նոր համակարգի սպասումը չի կենդանացնում քաղաքական դաշտը, կրքեր չի առաջացնում։ Ամիսներ շարունակ ինչ-որ մարդիկ հայտարարում էին նոր կուսակցություններ ստեղծելու մասին, և հույս կար, որ քաղաքական դաշտը կակտիվանա։ Ավաղ։ Իշխանություն-ընդդիմություն զույգն ապատիայի մեջ է՝ այնպես, ինչպես ողջ երկիրն ու հասարակությունը։ Անգամ երիտասարդ ակտիվիստները՝ քաղաքացիական հասարակությունը ներկայացնող, այլևս «այն չեն»։ Էլ չենք խոսում կառավարության կամ նախագահականի մոտ շարունակ բողոքի ակցիաներ անող մարդկանց մասին, որոնք նույնպես հոգնել են ու պասիվացել։

 Ի՞նչ է կատարվում մշակույթի, սպորտի, կրթության ոլորտներում։ Ոչ մի նշանակալի իրադարձություն։ Բոլորն սպասողական վիճակում են։ Գուցե այս սպասումը սահմանադրական հանրաքվեի հանգամանքո՛վ է պայմանավորված։ Բայց անգամ հանրաքվեն ու Սահմանադրությունը բուռն արձագանքի չեն արժանանում։ Ոչ «այո» ասողներն են շատ ակտիվ ու համոզիչ, ոչ «ոչ»–ի կողմնակիցներն են հստակ ու մարտական։ Եվ ամենակարևորը մեր մտավորականության կեցվածքն է, որ խաղաղ դիտում է, թե ինչպես է երկիրը դատարկվում, ինչպես են մարդիկ օրեցօր հուսալքվում, և լռում է։ Իսկ եթե խոսում է, ապա բացառապես իշխանության օգտին։ Երեկ, օրինակ, «Հայելի» ակումբում հյուրընկալված բանաստեղծ Ռազմիկ Դավոյանը կոչ է արել հասարակությանն «այո» քվեարկել։ Իսկ քանդակագործ Ֆերդինանտ Առաքելյանն ասել է. «Այս ճահիճը, որ կա, սրա վտանգները գալիս են նրանցից, ովքեր ընդդիմություն են կոչվում»»,–գրում է թերթը։
