Իսրայելի վարչապետ և ԱԳ նախարար Բենիամին Նաթանյահուն ընդունել է երկրի ԱԳՆ-ի խորհուրդները՝  Քնեսեթում (խորհրդարան) Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչման մասին օրինագծի քննարկումները հետաձգել մինչև Թուրքիայում հունիսի 24-ին նախատեսված արտահերթ խորհրդարանական ընտրությունների ավարտը։ Այս մասին հունիսի 3-ին տարածված կոմյունիկեով հայտարարել է հրեական պետության ԱԳՆ մամուլի ծառայությունը, տեղեկացնում է «Արմենպրես»-ը՝ վկայակոչելով ՏԱՍՍ-ը։

 

«Վարչապետ Նաթանյահուն ընդունել է ԱԳՆ-ի խորհուրդները  տեղափոխել Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչման մասին օրենքի վերաբերյալ խորհրդարանական քննարկումները մինչև Թուրքիայում հունիսի 24-ին նշանակված ընտրությունների ավարտի պահը, քանի որ այդ հարցի քննարկումը ավելի վաղ նշանակված ժամկետում կարող էր նախընտրական արշավում օգտագործվել [Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեբ Թայիթ] Էրդողանի կողմից»,- ասվում է փաստաթղթում։ Իսրայելի պետական Kan ռադիկայանի տվյալներով՝ Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչման մասին հարցի քննարկումը նախատեսված էր հունիսի 3-ին։  

 

Քնեսեթի խոսնակ Յուլի Էդելշթեյնը մայիսի 28-ին անորոշ ժամանակով հետաձգել էր Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչման հարցով նույն օրը ծրագրված քվեարկությունը։ The Jerusalem Post թերթի պնդմամբ՝ Էդելշթեյնը դա արել է անվստահ լինելով, որ փաստաթուղթը կհավաքի ձայների մեծամասնություն։ Փետրվարի 14-ին Իսրայելի խորհրդարանն արդեն մերժել է ընդդիմադիր «Եշ աթիդ» կուսակցության առաջնորդ Յաիր Լապիդի առաջարկած՝ Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչման մասին օրինագիծը։
