ՀՀ վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն իր և ՌԴ նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինի հարաբերությունները որակում է որպես լավ ու անմիջական: 

Russia Today-ին տված հարցազրույցում նա ասել է, որ այդ հարաբերությունները ձևավորվել են հենց առաջին րոպեներից և իրենց միջև մութ անկյուններ չկան։ «Դա շատ կարևոր է: Մենք ամեն ինչ քննարկում ենք ուղղակի ձևով: Բոլոր հարցերը հստակեցնում ենք և տալիս դրանց հստակ պատասխաններ: Վլադիմիր Վլադիմիրին այդպիսի մարդ է: Ինչպես ես եմ հասկանում, նրան հարմար է շփման այդ ոճը և, անկեղծ ասած, ինձ համար ևս հարմար է այդ ոճը: Ես կարող եմ հստակ ասել, որ մեր հարաբերությունները զարգանում են շատ արագ և կառուցողական ձևով»,-նշել է վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը:

Անդրադառնալով հարցադրմանը՝ արդյո՞ք Ռուսաստան այցելությունների նման հաճախականությունը կարող է փաստել, որ երկու երկրներին բաժանել փորձող մարդիկ սխալվել են, վարչապետը պատասխանել է՝ «այո»: Նրա խոսքով՝ որոշ մարդիկ ցանկանում են իրադրություններն այլ լույսի ներքո ներկայացնել: «Հիմա այդ մասին շատերն են խոսում, շատ հրապարակումներ կան ռուսական մամուլում այդ մասին, որոնց հեղինակները այնքան էլ լավ չեն հասկանում՝ ինչ է տեղի ունեցել Հայաստանում: Կան մարդիկ, ովքեր ցանկանում են այս ամենը ներկայացնել այլ լույսի ներքո: Նրանք ցանկանում են ցույց տալ, թե իբր Հայաստանում իշխանության են եկել հակառուսական ուժեր: Բայց հայկական հեղափոխության գործընթացում ընդհանրապես նման աշխարհաքաղաքական ու արտաքին քաղաքական ենթատեքստեր չեն եղել: Այն ներքին, հայկական գործընթաց էր»,-ավելացրել է պաշտոնյան:

Ըստ Փաշինյանի՝ այն, որ ինքը բազմիցս հայտարարում է՝ Հայաստանի արտաքին քաղաքական ուղենիշը չի փոխվելու, կապված է հենց այն հանգամանքի հետ, որ հեղափոխություն իրականացրած ազգի կողմից արտաքին քաղաքական ասպարեզի խնդիրներ չեն բարձրացվել: «Մենք՝ կառավարության անդամներս, այն ազգի ներկայացուցիչներն ենք, որոնք հաղթել են հեղափոխության ժամանակ: Եվ մենք պետք է գործենք «թավշյա հեղափոխության» քաղաքական գործընթացի բովանդակության շրջանակներում»,-հավելել է նա:

Ինչ վերաբերում է նրան, թե որոնք են երկու երկրների միջև ամենախնդրահարույց հարցերը, Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն ասել է, որ այդպիսիք չկան։ «Հայաստանն ու Ռուսաստանն ինքնիշխան երկրներ են: Ես կարծում եմ՝ մեր երկրների շահերը մեծամասամբ համապատասխանում են իրար, բայց կարող են լինել որոշակի նյուանսներ, որոնց շուրջ կարող են լինել անհամաձայնություններ: Գլխավորը մթնոլորտն է, որում մենք քննարկում ենք այդ հարցերը: Ես կարծում եմ՝ մենք կարող են հասնել համաձայնության»,-եզրափակել է Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը:

Անդրադառնալով ՀՀ-ԵՄ համաձայնագրին՝ ՀՀ վարչապետը տեղեկացրել է, որ փաստաթղթի վավերացումը Եվրամիության երկրներում արդեն սկսվել է:

«Գործընթացը Հայաստանում տեղի է ունենում արդեն ավելի քան 20 տարի: Իհարկե, մենք զարգացնելու ենք մեր հարաբերությունները Եվրամիության հետ, ԱՄՆ-ի հետ, Վրաստանի հետ, Իրանի հետ, միջազգային իրավունքի այլ սուբյեկտների հետ: Բայց դա տեղի չի ունենալու հայ-ռուսական հարաբերությունների հաշվին: Դա մեր քաղաքականությունն է»,- եզրափակել է նա:
