Վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն ընդունել է Եվրոպական խորհրդարանի արտաքին հարաբերությունների հանձնաժողովի պատվիրակությանը:  Ինչպես «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ վարչապետի աշխատակազմից, վարչապետը ողջունել է ԵԽ պատգամավորների այցը Հայաստան և կարևորել համագործակցության ակտիվացումն ու հետագա զարգացումը:

Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը ԵԽ պատգամավորներին է ներկայացրել մեր երկրում տեղի ունեցող քաղաքական զարգացումների ընթացքն ու ընդգծել, որ ՀՀ կառավարության առաջնահերթություններից մեկն է ժողովրդավարական ինստիտուտների շարունակական զարգացումը: Այդ համատեքստում, գործադիրի ղեկավարը ներկայացրել է կոռուպցիայի դեմ պայքարի, մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանության, տնտեսության մեջ մենաշնորհների դեմ պայքարի և այլ ոլորտներում նախատեսվող բարեփոխումներն ու ծրագրերը: Վարչապետն իր դիտարկումներն է ներկայացրել նաև արտահերթ խորհրդարանական ընտրությունների անցկացման հնարավորությունների և Ընտրական օրենսգրքում փոփոխությունների հետ կապված՝ շեշտելով, որ դրանց նպատակն է լինելու ապահովել և երաշխավորել ազատ, արդար և ժողովրդավարական ընտրությունների կազմակերպումը: «Մեր քայլերի նպատակն է երկրում իրականացել իրական փոփոխություններ»,- ասել է Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը:

ԵԽ պատգամավորները նշել են, որ ուշադրությամբ հետևել են Հայաստանում տեղի ունեցած ներքաղաքական իրադարձություններին, կարևորել ու ողջունել դրանց խաղաղ և ոչ բռնի հանգուցալուծումը՝ ժողովրդավարական սկզբունքների ու Սահմանադրության շրջանակում: Նրանք ընդգծել են, որ Եվրոպական միությունը պատրաստ է օժանադակություն ցուցաբերել ՀՀ կառավարության բարեփոխումների իրականացման քայլերին ու նպաստել Հայաստանում ժողովրդավարության զարգացմանն ու ամրապնդմանը:

Հանդիպման ընթացքում վարչապետը պատասխանել է ԵԽ պատգամավորների մի շարք հարցերի, որոնք վերաբերել են ներդրումների ներգրավմանը, բիզնես միջավայրի բարելավմանը, քաղաքականության և բիզնեսի տարանջատմանը, քաղաքացիական հասարակության զարգացմանը, ղարաբաղյան հակամարտության կարգավորման բանակցային գործընթացին և այլ թեմաների:
