«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.

Իշխանափոխությունից հետո հասարակությունը պարբերաբար փոթորկվում է այս կամ այն իրադարձության արդյունքում: Առանց անուններ տալու, առանց անձնավորելու՝ ուղղակի ապշեցնում է հասարակության որոշ շերտերի պահվածքը: Հասկանալի է, որ այս կամ այն անձը բարեկամներ ունի, ընկերներ ունի, թիմ ունի: Բայց ի պաշտպանություն այս կամ այն մեկի, ով մեղադրվում է որոշակի հանցանք կատարած լինելու մեջ, հաճախ հանդիպում են ուղղակի այնպիսիք, ովքեր իրենց արհեստական, ցուցադրական հիստերիայով ապացուցում են, որ Սունդուկյանի ասած՝ «իրեք մանեթական» սկզբունքով են հավաքի մեջ: Մի դեպքում՝ պարտքի, մեկ այլ դեպքում՝ ակնկալիքի, մեկ այլ դեպքում՝ հենց տեղում «քյաշի» արդյունքում: Այդպիսիք միշտ լուռ են, երբ իրենց «պապաները» ուրիշներին են թալանում, ծեծում, ճնշում, նրանց ոչինչ ավելին պետք չի, քան «մի դույլ կարտոլը», քան այսօրվա փախցրած մի երկու հացի գումարը: Երբեմն ուզում ես արդարացնել այդպիսիններին, թե պետությունն այնպիսի վիճակում է դրել այդ մարդկանց, որ իրենց երեխաների մի կտոր հացի համար ամեն ինչի պատրաստ են: Բայց և հասկանում ես, որ նմաններով բոլորիս երազած երկիրը չենք կառուցելու, որ նմանները էլի հաջորդ ընտրություններին գնալու ու 5-10 հազար դրամով ձայն են ծախելու: Մեր խնդիրն է նաև լինելու այսուհետ ևս անընդհատ, պարբերաբար մեր այդպիսի եղբայրների ու քույրերի գիտակցությանը հասցնել, թե՝ ձեր «պաշտպանյալները» հենց ձեզանից են գողացել, ձեզ են ճնշել, ձեզ են թալանել, ձեր երեխաների ապագան են խորտակել ու հետո մի չնչին կտոր շպրտել որպես ողորմություն: Հասցնել, որ կյանքում չկա ավելի թանկ բան, քան արժանապատվությունը, քան հոգու հանգստությունը, քան շրջապատի աչքերի մեջ անկաշկանդ նայելու հնարավորությունը:

Մարդուն ի վերջո կործանում է առաջին հերթին ստրկամտությունը, որովհետև եթե ստրուկ լինելու պատրաստակամությունը մեծ է, ապա էլ ավելի մեծ է ստրուկ ունենալու պատրաստակամությունն ու ցանկությունը: Իսկ եթե ստրուկ լինել ցանկացողները շատ են, ապա ստրկատերերը միշտ գրեթե նույն մարդիկ են, որոնք գնալով ավելի սանձարձակ, ավելի ցինիկ ու լկտի են դառնում, ավելի բիրտ՝ նույն այդ ստրուկների հանդեպ: Ուրեմն, այսօր բոլորիս առաջնային խնդիրն է իրապես քաղաքացիական հասարակություն ունենալը, քանզի հանրահավաքներին մասնակցելն ու ազատություն գոռացողների հետ գոռալը դեռևս քաղաքացիականության ապացույց չէ:
