Եվրոպական միությունը հրապարակել է Եվրամիություն-Հայաստան հարաբերություններին վերաբերող փաստահավաք փաստաթուղթ: Ինչպես փոխանցում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, փաստաթղթում նշվում է, որ ԵՄ-ի հարաբերությունները Հայաստանի հետ նպատակ ունեն նպաստել ժողովրդավարությանը, մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանությանը, օրենքի գերակայությանը և կայուն տնտեսական աճին, ինչպես նաև երկկողմ կապերի ամրապնդմանն ու տրանսպորտային հաղորդակցությանը, մարդկանց միջև կապերի սերտացմանը:

 

«Հայաստանի հետ նոր համապարփակ համաձայնագրի շուրջ բանակցությունները սկսվեցին 2015 թվականի դեկտեմբերին, ինչի արդյունքում 2017 թվականի նոյեմբերի 24-ին Բրյուսելում Արևելյան գործընկերության գագաթնաժողովի շրջանակում ստորագրվեց Համապարփակ և ընդլայնված գործընկերության համաձայնագիրը: 2018 թվականի ապրիլի 11-ին Հայաստանի խորհրդարանը միաձայն վավերացրել է համաձայնագիրը՝ նախաձեռնելով դրա կիրարկումը 2018 թվականի հունիսի 1-ից: Փաստաթուղթը ժամանակակից, համապարփակ և հավակնոտ է, որի նպատակն է խորացնել ՀՀ-ԵՄ հարաբերությունները քաղաքական, տնտեսական և փոխադարևձ հետաքրքրություն ներկայացնող ոլորտներում:

 

Համաձայն նոր համաձայնագրի՝ Հայաստանը և Եվրոպական միությունը համատեղ մշակել են գործընկերության առաջնահերթությունները. դրանք են՝ ինստիտուտների ամրապնդումը, արդյունավետ կառավարումը, տնտեսական զարգացումը, էներգաարդյունավետությունը, շրջակա միջավայրը, մարդկանց միջև շփումների ակտիվացումը»,- ասված է փաստաթղթում:
