Աշխատանքային այցով Միացյալ Թագավորությունում գտնվող նախագահ Արմեն Սարգսյանը մի շարք հանդիպումներ է ունեցել:  Ինչպես «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ նախագահի աշխատակազմի հասարակայնության հետ կապերի վարչությունից, Միացյալ Թագավորության արտաքին գործերի եւ համագործակցության նախարարության Եվրոպայի եւ Ամերիկաների նախարար սըր Ալան Դանքընի անունից Հանրապետության նախագահի պատվին տրվել է աշխատանքային ճաշ, որի ընթացքում նախագահ Սարգսյանը ներկայացրել է Հայաստանում տեղի ունեցած քաղաքական փոփոխությունները: Նա անդրադարձել է տարբեր ոլորտներում իրականացվող բարեփոխումներին, որոնք առաջին հերթին ուղղված են երկրում օրինականության ամրապնդմանը, ինչպես նաեւ կոռուպցիայի դեմ պայքարին միտված կառավարության եւ հասարակության ջանքերին: Խոսվել է նաեւ հայ-բրիտանական հարաբերությունների, մասնավորապես՝ առևտրատնտեսական, գիտակրթական եւ մշակութային կապերի զարգացմանն ուղղված քայլերի մասին:

 

Այցի շրջանակում Արմեն Սարգսյանը հանդիպում է ունեցել նաեւ Լոնդոնի դիվանագիտական կորպուսում թագուհու ներկայացուցչի հետ, ով միապետի անունից հրաժեշտի ջերմ խոսքեր է փոխանցել Միացյալ Թագավորությունում երկար տարիներ պաշտոնավարած ՀՀ դեսպան Արմեն Սարգսյանին:

 

Հունիսի 21-ին նախագահ Արմեն Սարգսյանը՝ տիկնոջ Նունե Սարգսյանի հետ, հյուրընկալվել է թագավորական ընտանիքի անունից Բուքինգհեմյան պալատում կազմակերպված ընթրիքին:

 

Նախագահ Սարգսյանը հունիսի 22-ին հանդիպում է ունեցել Միացյալ Թագավորությունում Ֆրանսիայի դեսպան Ժան-Պիեռ Ժույեի հետ: Զրուցակիցները քննարկել են հայ-ֆրանսիական բարեկամության զարգացմանը վերաբերող հարցեր: Անդրադարձ է կատարվել 2018թ. հոկտեմբերին Երեւանում Ֆրանկոֆոնիայի գագաթնաժողովի շրջանակում կազմակերպվելիք գործարար համաժողովին, երկու երկրների գործարարների միջեւ փոխգործակցության հնարավորություններին, ինչպես նաեւ կրթական, մշակութային առնչություններին:

 

Նույն օրը Հանրապետության նախագահն ընդունել է Լոնդոնի Գիտության աշխարհահռչակ թանգարանի տնօրեն Իան Բլետչֆորդին: Քննարկվել են Հայաստանում «Ապագայի թանգարան» համատեղ նախաձեռնության իրականացմանը վերաբերող հարցեր: Նշվել է, որ Լոնդոնի Գիտության թանգարանի հետ ռազմավարական գործընկերության հիմնումը, ինչպես նաեւ դրա միջոցով «Ապագայի թանգարան» ծրագրում այլ միջազգային խոշոր գործընկերների հետագա ներգրավումն օգտակար ու շահեկան կլինի, քանի որ հնարավորություն կստեղծի կապեր հաստատել համաշխարհային առաջատար գիտահետազոտական կենտրոնների հետ, հաղորդակից դառնալ գիտության ու տեխնոլոգիայի ոլորտների զարգացման ժամանակակից միտումներին։

 

Այցի շրջանակում տեղի է ունեցել Միացյալ Թագավորությունում Հայաստանի Հանրապետության նախկին դեսպան Արմեն Սարգսյանի հրաժեշտի արարողությանը նվիրված ընդունելություն, որին ներկա են գտնվել Լոնդոնում հավատարմագրված բազմաթիվ օտարերկրյա դիվանագետներ:
