ՀՀ վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի գլխավորությամբ տեղի է ունեցել Անվտանգության խորհրդի նիստ:
Վարչապետի մամուլի գրասենյակից հայտնում են, որ վարչապետ Փաշինյանը նշել է, որ նոր կառավարության ձեւավորումից հետո սա Անվտանգության խորհրդի առաջին նիստն է եւ հավելել. «Գիտեք, որ ապրիլի 9-ից հետո Անվտանգության խորհրդի գործառույթներն ավելի են կոնկրետացվել եւ Սահմանադրության 155-րդ հոդվածի 2-րդ մասի համաձայն՝ պաշտպանության ոլորտի քաղաքականության հիմնական ուղղությունները սահմանում է Անվտանգության խորհուրդը: Այսօրվա մեր նիստը նաեւ այս շրջանակի մեջ գտնվող հարցերն ու հետագա անելիքները քննարկելու նպատակ ունի»:
Խորհրդի նիստում քննարկվել են ՀՀ զինված ուժերի զարգացման պլանի եւ սպառազինության ու ռազմական տեխնիկայի զարգացման պետական ծրագրին եւ ԶՈՒ-երի մարտական հերթապահության արդյունավետության բարձրացմանը վերաբերող հարցեր:
Պաշտպանության նախարար Դավիթ Տոնոյանը զեկուցել է նաեւ ՀՀ ՊՆ-ում ակտիվ պաշտպանության կազմակերպման ավելի արդյունավետ ձեւերի եւ մեթոդների ներդրման մասին:
