Հայաստանում արձանագրվում է թմրամոլության աճ տարեկան 8-9 տոկոսով:

Ինչպես «Արմենպրես»-ի մամուլի սրահում հրավիրված ասուլիսում նշեց ՀՀ ԱՆգլխավոր նարկոլոգ  Պետրոս Սեմերջյանը, չնայած դրան, Հայաստանը տարածաշրջանի և բազմաթիվ այլ երկրների համեմատ թմրամոլների թվով վերջին տեղում է: Աշխարհում ամենաշատ թմրամոլներն ունի Իրանը, այնտեղ խոսվում է 3.5 մլն թմրամոլի մասին, Վրաստանում կա 400 հազար թմրամոլ:

«Հայաստանում գրանցված են 6 հազար 544 թմրամոլ, սա պաշտոնական վիճակագրությունն է, մարդիկ են, որոնց մոտ կա թմրամոլության ախտորոշում: Տարբեր ուսումանսիրություններով ոչ պաշտոնական տվյալներով Հայաստանում կա մոտ 30 հազար թմրամոլ, որոնցից մոտ 13 հազարը թմրանյութը չարաշահում է ներերակային ճանապարհով»,-ասաց Պետրոս Սեմերջյանը:

Առողջապահական կազմակերպություններում հաշվառված թմրամոլների գերակշիռ մասը՝ 62 տոկոսը, 30-50 տարեկան անձինք են: Թմրամոլների թվում մինչև 18 տարեկան է 7 հոգի կա: Պետրոս Սեմերջյանը նշեց, որ թմրամիջոց չարաշահողներն այդ գործընթացը սկսում են երիտասարդ տարիքից, սակայն առողջապահական հաստատություններ են դիմում ավելի բարձր տարիքում, երբ առողջական լուրջ խնդիրներ են ունենում: Մասնագետը նշեց, որ Հայաստանում հիմնականում տարածված են կանեփից, ափիոնից պատրաստված թմրամիջոցները:

Առողջապահական հաստատություններ դիմած թմրամոլների բուժումը տևում է 10-40 օր՝ կախված անձի առողջական վիճակից: Բուժման իմաստն այն է, որ օգնի անձին ազատվել կախվածությունից:

«Թմրամոլների մի մասն ինչ-որ մի շեմի է հասնում ու որոշում է ձերբազատվել թմրանյութերից, սակայն չի հաջողվում, որովետև սկսվում է ծանր կախվածության համախտանիշ: Բուժումն անհրաժեշտ է, որպեսզի քաղաքացին կարողանա այդ փուլը հաղթահարել: Հարց է առաջանում, թե կարո՞ղ է բուժված անձը վերադառնալ թմրամիջոցներին: Իհարկե, կարող է, բայց ոչ հիվանդագին ցանկության պատճառով: Կարող է պատճառ լինել միջավայրի ազդեցությունը, ապրելակերպը, ի վերջո նույն շրջապատն է, նույն ընկերներն են: Պատահական չէ, որ բուժումից հետո անձին խորհորդ է տրվում 6 ամիս կամ 1 տարի գնալ մի տեղ, որտեղ հեռու կլինի շրջապատից»,-ասաց Պետրոս Սեմերջյանը: Նա նշեց, որ, ըստ ունեցած արդյունքների, սովորաբար բուժվածների 20 տոկոսը չի վերադառնում թմրամոլության:

1987 թվականի դեկտեմբերի 7-ին ՄԱԿ-ի գլխավոր համաժողովն ընդունել է հռչակագիր, ըստ որի որոշվել է հունիսի 26-ը նշել որպես թմրամիջոցների չարաշահման և դրանց ապօրինի շրջանառության դեմ պայքարի միջազգային օր` ի նշան իր վճռականությանը հզորացնելու գործողությունները և համագործակցությունը թմրամոլությունից զերծ միջազգային հասարակություն ստեղծելու համար: ՀՀ նախագահի 2014 թվականի դեկտեմբերի 30-ի թիվ 226-Ն կարգադրությամբ ՀՀ կառավարությանը հանձնարարված է կարգադրության ռազմավարության դրույթներն իրականացնող միջոցառումները ներառել թմրամոլության և թմրամիջոցների ապօրինի շրջանառության դեմ պայքարի տարեկան ծրագրերում: Միջոցառումներում ընդգրկված են գրեթե բոլոր գերատեսչությունները:
