Դեռ երեկ մամուլում տարածվեց տեղեկություն` ԱԺ ՀՀԿ խմբակցության պատգամավոր, ՀՀ նախկին ոստիկանապետ Ալիկ Սարգսյանը ՀՀ հատուկ քննչական ծառայություն հաղորդում է ներկայացրել եւ հայտնել, որ նախկին բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնյաներից մեկը տեւական ժամանակ է՝ իր մասին արատավորող տեղեկություններ տարածելու սպառնալիքով, խոշոր չափերի գումար է պահանջում իրենից: Այսօր արդեն շրջանառության մեջ դրվեց ՀՀ նախկին վարչապետ Հովիկ Աբրահամյանի անունը: Լրատվամիջոցը, հղում տալով սեփական աղբյուրին, նշել էր, որ նախկին ոստիկանապետը նախկին վարչապետից հաշվեհարդար տեսնելու նպատակով` վերհիշել է տարիներ ի վեր ունեցած հակասությունները եւ որոշել հաղորդում ներկայացնել վերջինիս դեմ:

Թեմայի շուրջ Past.am-ը զրուցեց Ալիկ Սարգսյանի հետ, ով չհերքեց ՀՔԾ հաղորդում ներկայացնելու փաստը ու նշեց.

«Ես հաղորդում եմ ներկայացրել եւ սպասում եմ արձագանքի: Հովիկ Աբրահամյանն այս ամենի հետ ընդհանրապես կապ չունի, ես չգիտեմ, թե ով ու ինչի համար է նրա անունը դրել շրջանառության մեջ: Ես երբեք որեւէ մեկի մոտ Հովիկ Աբրահամյան անունը չեմ տվել, այս ամենը լրագրողների ապուշ ֆանտազիաներն են: Ի՞նչ կապ ունի այդ ամենի հետ Հովիկ Արգամիչը, չեմ հասկանում: Դա ինչ որ մեկի հիմար ֆանտազիան է, որ նման դրսեւորումն է ստանում մամուլում: Իրական գործը թողած` մարդիկ իրենց բիզնեսը կառուցում են շանտաժային խոսակցությունների վրա, այս ամենը սուտ տեղեկություն է, որը տարածվում է չար մտադրությամբ` ցավացնելու նպատակով: Ամբողջ լրատվությունը հիմնված է հերյուրանքների վրա»,-ասաց պատգամավորը` հավելելով, որ արդեն հոգնել է իր անունից «կախվողներից» ու այսուհետ որեւէ հերյուրանքի դեպքում դիմելու է դատական ատյաններին:
