SOCIETYՀՀ Սահմանադրական դատարանի նախագահ Հրայր Թովմասյանը հույս ունի, որ աշնանը կհամալրվի ՍԴ դատավոր թափուր պաշտոնը: «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ՝ հուլիսի 5-ին լրագրողների հետ ճեպազրույցում Թովմասյանն ասաց, որ Սահմանադրական դատարանը դատարանի դատավորի թեկնածուների ընտրության, առաջադրման հարցում որևէ մասնակցություն չունի:
«Մեխանիզմը, որն ընտրված է, կարծում եմ, միջազգային պրակտիկայի առումով էլ հաջողված տարբերակներից մեկն է, երբ իշխանության երեք ճյուղերը որոշակիորեն մասնակցություն են ունենում՝ դա դատավորների ընդհանուր ժողովն է, որը թեկնածու է ընտրում, երկրորդը հանրապետության նախագահն է և երրորդը՝ կառավարությունը: Ես ամենաշահագրգռվածն եմ մեկ օր առաջ ունենալ նոր դատավորներ, ովքեր նոր շունչ կհաղորդեն դատարանին և ծանրաբեռնվածությունն էլ որոշակիորեն կթեթևանա»,-ասաց նա:
